I know this is an old one...but can someone maybe measure the length of their dipstick and post it here?(hehe) and include the length of where hot and cold marks are? Mine broke off and I was thinking of making one instead of buying one. Then notching the cold and hot marks in a piece of wire some sort of weight on the end. (Similar to a bike break cable)
Any suggestions on another material to make one out of?
