So I just discovered the trans America trail about 30 minutes ago and now I have to do it.

Who is with me? When do we leave? Let's go already!

I'd absolutely love to but have been on long trips with people before and you can't just get a random group of people together spontaneously on the internet for a long trip and expect it to hold together even half way through...

One one of my longer trips with other people, one of us stuck another's toothbrush up their ass after 3 weeks, that gives you some idea of the dissension in the ranks you can have with an incompatible group... This is among acquainted "friends" so strangers can get much stranger IMHO.

I've wanted to do it for a few years now. I would have to break it up in sections because I can't take that much time off in a big chunk. I think it would be a blast!

I think, maybe... You might need to reevaluate your entire life if somebody is sticking other people's toothbrushes in their bums on your camping trips.

Not gonna lie, I'd probably leave you in a shallow grave if you pulled that. I'd call your momma and tell her why I did it, then hang up rudely.

Wtf dude. That's the most out of left field thing I've ever read on here.

How do I delete someone else's comment? Or like, online existence?

So you know none of the story, assume I would do something like that and think murder is an appropriate response, never mind not having at least a whiff of a sense of humor about it? My online "existence" needs to be ended? Thanks for proving my point because I wouldn't go to the corner store with you know what I know now... ;)

I dealt with the information given. Yes, if a person puts another person's toothbrush in their ass: that's pretty easily assault and could/should be responded to appropriately. I just don't see, with the information given, how that could be remotely humorous in real life. Although the bit about rudely hanging up on ones momma... Whiff of humor much?

I asked if anyone would be interested in doing parts of the trail and you come in with, and yes I'm paraphrasing: 'people stuck toothbrushes in their assess once when I went on a trip with internet strangers.'

How does one appropriately process that, in real life or reading about it in the current context?

Well now, just look who's obsessed with things stuck in other people's asses...

Perhaps you should plan to go alone for the benefit of all concerned?

Dude you brought it up, have you ever considered offing yourself? I support it.

I think your camping debauchery disqualifies you as "healthy." Good try though.

Apparently you're so mentally addled that you can't remember the fact I had nothing to do with the event you're utterly obsessed with now to the point you can't even keep your shit straight. I used one experience to illustrate a point you are now proving very handily with each one of your cocked-up, sociopathic posts. Nice one and thanks!

Put your keyboard down and go to the doctor, there's help available and you're not sane quite frankly.

... Dude wtf.

Well at a b@re minimum he should certainly recheck the invite list next time. Generally speaking, adding weirdos off the internet (or weirdo close friends) to a camping trip is rarely with the risk.

You could know somebody for ten years and never fully understand that they're nucking futs until you're in the woods with them for an extended period.

I never go with people that don't have their own vehicle, unless they're someone else's problem.

Nothing worse than realizing you can't stand the person you're stuck with for a week.

In my experience, internet weirdos take much longer to show their true colors than someone who just got comfortable around you. They're less risky, although apparently... Shit happens
