Hi everyone, I picked up a 98 SR5 V6 5 speed with 234k kms last week and I need some advice on a couple of issues. There is lube leaking from the front yoke of the TC and spraying onto the undercarriage. It doesnt seem to be dripping to the ground though. Is this just a simple seal?
There is also a speed-related whine which to me sounds like a broken belt in a tire. I havent had a chance to swap out the tires though to rule it out. Could it be related to the TC leak? There are no vibrations, and it shifts into 4hi and 4lo just fine. The TC shift lever does get warm on longer drives though.
Anyone care to wade in?
