Transfer case questions

Hey guys I have a couple questions about our transfer cases that we're not answered by the lengthy post on transfer cases we already have, I was wondering if I had water in the oil of the transfer case, will a simple oil change resolve? Or is there any internal seals or clutches inside that , with the introduction of water will deteriorate and fail? I had water in my transmission and transfer and the transmission went, and I want to figure out if I have to change the transfer as well... Thanks and sorry for the lengthy post lol but for your entertainment

Yes, just change the fluid and you'll be fine. They are just gears. I've seen tractors operate for years with an inch or two of water at the bottom of the gear case. Not recommended, but not fatal. A TC is a little more sensitive than a tractor gear box.

An auto trans is a whole different ball of wax.
