So do you just have the TRD Pro suspension with a 1" spacer in the front for a 2" total lift and oem springs powdercoated red in the rear resulting in no rear lift? Also, you just go through the touchless wash and your undercarriage stays that clean with the Chicago salt?

What was the Reason you got the Limited??

I did not buy that model since I hated the front end.

Man....seriously...another bike? LOL I keep saying I need to try one of these, so maybe I can do that some day when it warms up. Although, it's the best time of year to use those now I am sure. I love my mountain bike, but would gladly trade it in for some fat tires if they are more comfortable!!!

Right now the truck has the bone stock TRD suspension on it. I picked up a 1/2" top spacer from Joe @ Chi-Town 4 x 4 that I plan to install over the holidays to raise the front up a little more. I may also install a set of Air Bags in the rear spring for when I have a bunch of people in the truck. The plan is to put a schrader valve in the rear by the plate and a pump in the drivers side rear quarter for filling it when it get's loaded. The rear springs are stock springs from a non-limited truck which raised the truck in the rear about 1/2 which was measure from the wheel center to fender lip.

That is correct. I have an unlimited plan at Delta-Sonic and I go thru the wash at least twice a week or more in the summer. Then in the winter I hit the wash after they salt the roads before the truck comes home and get's parked in the garage. I also spray the under carriage with 3m Silicone spray and or WD40 often in the winter. Try not to hit the exhaust as it tends to smell pretty bad.

I use the silicone spray on the bottom of the doors also.

On a side note when I sold my 11 year old 150,000 mile Tahoe the chassis looked like new and it still had the original paint marking on the suspension & sway bars. So it does work and works well.

I did not buy that model since I hated the front end.

I bought the Limited because I wanted the Sunroof, Heated/AC Seats, Lighted mirrors, Dual Climate Zone, 3rd Row, Keyless Entry, Keyless Start, No key, and full time 4wd .

To me it was just a truck that I could take apart and build exactly the way I want it and it would be cheaper to buy the limited and convert it to the TRD then trying to go the other way. I am sure I am close to 4.5 grand invested and since I sold some of the parts removed for $1500.00 I think I did pretty good.

Plus I got an incredible deal on the truck. Seriously it was way to good to be true so I wrote them a check for the difference on my trade.

You should use FluidFilm for the winter undercarriage protection, I have used it on my 4Runner and '90 Yota for 3 winters now, and you would never know it was daily driven in the salt. Spray it on in the fall before the first snow, it stays a liquid and deflects the salt, then pressure wash it off in the spring with degreaser. Downfall... It is derived from lanolin, so your truck will smell like a petting zoo for a while, and if you get it on the exhaust... Well it smells like burning sheep. I got the sprayer kit initially ($90), now I just buy 1 gallon ($50) every other year. I get four vehicle coatings out of 1 gallon. Want to meet up and compare undercarriages? Bet mine is cleaner! :rofl:

So what your saying it's to late to do it now as I may be trapping salt under the FluidFilm ??

Not at all. One of the great aspects about FluidFilm is that it is not permanent, you clean it off every spring and reapply it in the fall. Just cleaning up the undercarriage really well and touching up any spots that have surface rust if any exist, with some paint or POR15 would be sufficient before spraying the FluidFilm.

I switched to the Eastwood stuff as you have to use a top coat even on the under carriage of a vehicle. (( it doesn't have any UV protection )).

You need to come look at the 70 and see where I sprayed / brushed the frame

First up was to get rid of the stock wheels and replace them with TRD Rims and BFG Tires.

What size tires are you running? Are these the BFG k02?

Originally a 265 70 17 BFG Mud Grapplers (way to noisy) wouldn't recommend for a daily driver.

Currently I am running a 275 70 17 BFG KO2 All Terrains and I absolutely love them. So much nicer and no road noise.

Thanks for getting back to me. I have the exact same truck and your pix sold me on the TRD Pro wheels. I wanted to see how they looked without a leveling kit/lift.

Your welcome and you can't go wrong with a factory wheel especially with there cost being so low for an OEM wheel.

I was surprised how cheap they were. I got quoted $720 for a set of gunmetal Pro wheels.

I also kinda like the new Roof Rack on the new TRD Pro that they just Debuted at the Chicago Auto Show.

Here’s my 2017 and so far I’ve only put the pro wheels on. I’m debating whether I should spend money on an aftermarket steel bumper or the pro bumper cover although I can’t justify the price of a pro grille. Lol.

As for the Steel Bumper if your not really going to do serious off roading you most likely don't need it. Plus you will have to upgrade your front suspension as the weight of the bumper will droop your front end due to it's weight.

On a side note you can do a trail conversion and then add the TRD Garnish down the road as it just sticks on the front end.

You are right,my buddy did an SR5 conversion on his LTD ,but that was prior to his purchase at the dealership,so he ended up paying a little more for the Ltd.

Out of curiosity,do you have paint chips on your Trd limited and do they bother you at all?

That looks incredible.

Looking at this picture makes me want to add my top spacers to get the front end up a little bit more.

Yep, The hood has the most but that is normal. I should have put on the AVS Aeroskin low profile profile hood protector sooner.
