TRD Limited Fat Bike Hauler v1.1

The dealer was willing to deal on the limited and there were so many "Must Haves" that the TRD didn't offer. Most important to me is the Sun Roof, JBL Sound System, No key and the full time AWD. So in the end it was about the same price for me to buy the Limited and do the conversion.

plus I like to be different yet look the same as others. Only a few people have realized that it is not actually a Pro.

The full time 4wd was a big one for me with my wife driving, I don't mind being in something that needs taken in and out of 4wd for snow driving, but I didn't want her to have to worry about that.

This is my first vehicle with ventilated seats... and man do I love em!!

I have never had ventilated seats and they are freaking awesome especially after riding on a hot August day here in Chicago. I also agree on the AWD as I have been driving them since my Syclone and absolutely love it.

I think he needs to put some off-road wheels and tires on the trailer so it matches the truck. I know I would if I actually rode a motorcycle because that bike & trailer looks awesome.

I didn't understand ventilated seats until I flipped the cool seat on and felt the air blowing out of it. So soothing after a hot day at work.

That is a great point. I tried to put off road tires on the Kendon trailer but I would have needed to do an axle swap and the way that trailer is built, it would have been impossible. I usually set up base camp and ride to the rough stuff. The trailer is for recovery - ha ha

Here in Canada, the Trd pro is the highest trim level among all 4 and they are $5K-$6K more than the ltd, that is why I think they are overpriced because to me, the Japanese should've put all the amenities of LTD in the PRO if they want to charge us that much.

I think the the Limited and the Pro are pretty much the same price here in the states.

However, some dealers won't budge on price and or add what they call Fair Market value which is usually an additional 5,000.

I was out of town last year when Joe at Chi-Town 4 x 4 offered. I hope to be home next year. The good news is I can get the truck high enough to install the Borla Exhaust so I would think there is enough clearance.

On a side note I plan to install the TRD Intake and Borla Exhaust in the next couple weeks and a set of Metaltech Rock Sliders form Joe.

Its easy to do at the house, especially with the lift. $40 a gallon, the 4Runner uses 1/4 of the gallon per application. I have the sprayer if you want to use it.

I realized I posted this in another thread and should have posted this here also.

So this is what it takes parts wise to make the swap the front and rear bumpers from a Trail/TRD to a Limited. There are 4 more parts that I will add tonight when I get home. Which are behind the grille ducting air into the radiator.

I am still trying to figure out if there is a lower radiator close out panel that is used when you have the TRD Skid Plate. So far we have tried two of them and neither work.

Thank you so much for this it is very helpful. So just so i understand this correctly, i have a 17 Limited so from this chart I only need to order all purple in the middle column if i wish to do the TRD conversion correct? Thanks!

Actually you need to order all the parts in yellow which total about $1,461.92 (us) at the time I did this swap.

Cheaper yep, You find a local guy doing a steel bumper swap and buy his part and it will save you a ton. If they have a trail edition with the silver garnish just paint it black and you will pretty darn close to a TRD. The TRD Parts are about $600.00 but you don't really need them.

Try Cochrane Toyota in AB. They at least seem to want to be reasonable with their pricing. Any of the dealers here in the lower mainland don't appear to want to sell any parts. My local dealer, Peace Arch Toyota, quoted me $160ea for the Rav4 side mirrors. Yes, just the glass. I ended up paying $130.00 from Cochrane for BOTH!

Other option is buy from the states and ship to a post box. Conicelli Toyota has pretty good parts pricing.

Limited to Trail front bumper conversion soon to happen! Found a sweet deal. Brand new front bumper cover from a 2018, hardware that came with it, the reinforcement bracket, and even the fender liners for $450!

Quick question - I still have to get the bumper painted blizzard pearl since this is a super white bumper and I want to get the valance painted black. I believe the base coat for the blizzard pearl paint is super white? Should I just prep it by sanding the surface clear coat and letting the body shop spray blizzard pearl paint on it? Or is there any other kind of prep I should do. Also same for the valance, should I prep it somehow and what is the actual color code for the black paint that the black trd pro valance uses?

Also [MENTION=126538]2nd Chance[/MENTION], were you able to sell your limited front bumpers? Hoping to get something out of mine and will sweeten this deal even more to put towards the TRD pro garnishes!
