TRD Mountain Decal?

Thoughts? For some reason it is growing on me.

Good Idea or tell me I'm crazy and this is going to look silly. I just want to keep the clean classy look, but think it is missing something.

If I were a fan of stickers/decals I would have a set of those. I REALLY like the way they look.

Just not sure where I would place them exactly. Think I will have a shop do that for me. Don't want to screw that up.

Looks like I found my next thing to obtain.

It's not hard to do man... just be methodical about it.

First: tape off a straight line to reference from.

Second: spray the quarter panel with soap and water mix

Third: remove backing and place decal on surface, using your tape mark to keep you level

Fourth: use a credit card to press out any bubbles and excess water from behind the decal.

Fifth: Let sit in sun for approximately an hour, or until surface is thoroughly dry. You can test pealing up your decal in a small portion... to see if the decal lifts off the surface of the quarter panel. *(It should not)

Sixth: Remove the entire top layer of your decal (clear tape), and enjoy your new decal!


Please correct me if I'm wrong folks... as it's been a few years since I last did some.... but pretty sure this is the method used.

Please post up if you find the black one with the all terrain lettering. I took too long and sock monkey from the Tacoma forum stopped making them.

I actually worked with vinyls for about a year and honestly, you don't have to let it sit that long. You can get away with 5 minutes

The sun or heat will take out any bubbles that you couldn't squeegee out.
If anybody has questions, I know way more about this stuff than i'm proud of...
