Trd pro lift question

I asked the same question, this HAS to be the price for one coil.

I installed some Dobinsons rear lift springs I believe it gave me a 3" lift from measuring from the ground and not hub. I had my car at the shop this past weekend getting some work done when the shop owner mentioned that my rear shocks are beginning to leak. Does anyone know what the shaft limitation is for the rear TRD Pro shocks are? Did I over extend the shaft with the lift causing the leak or is this a result of something else?

Most likely individually. All the OE coils we have ever bought for testing were sold separately.
Good info - sounds like the best bet if you don't have all that extra weight up front is just add the FJPro spring with the SAWs or T13s in the back. And control arms.

The part number is for a single spring. You have to order 2 individual springs of the part #PTR13-35140-AA to get a set of passenger and driver.
There is no difference between the two springs for each side.

I would say so if you are not a fan of spacers and just looking for some height. Without the Toytec Pro kit spacers I would say you would get 1.25"+ over the stock height Pro just by swapping the springs.

Did you remove the Toytec kit entirely or just replaced the springs while keeping the Toytec kit. I’m running dobinsons 2” spring on mine, basically lifting the front a total of 2” over a stock 4Runner or adding another inch to the pro.

The stock Nittos got a sidewall cut last week, and the money train has now left the station. New 285/70 BFG K02's installed this afternoon pre-lift. Rubbing with full wheel cut, but they do look pretty cool filling up the fenders. Maybe I will just keep driving in a straight line.

Hoping you can clear up some confusion on my part. Regarding the last part about adding the FJPro spring and gaining the lost inch back "plus some". How did you end up with a total of 3-1/4" over the stock pro height? Numbers aren't adding up for me.
1-3/4" lift -1" (loss due to added weight from bumper) + 1" after FJPro springs = 1-3/4"
Where did the additional 1.5" come from? Was this the "plus some" portion?

Did not remove the Toytec kit, so I still have the 1" perch and the top 3/4" spacer with the addition of the 14" FJPro spring.

Correct this extra inch and half was from the difference in the weight capacity of the FJPro spring. Stock 4RPro spring only around 520lbs and the FJPro spring is ~600lbs. In running everything and the difference of the weight I got to a total of around 3-1/4" total lift beyond the stock height of the Pro.
Did you have to do a diff drop with the Toytec kit + springs? Probably going to take advantage of the Black Friday code this week.

Nope, everything I read said the reviews were mixed. Either it added piece of mind to some people with fixed angles or others saying it was a complete waste of time. I didn’t do it and haven’t seen a reason to, others swear by it.
Hey guys, so I’m wanting to add a leveling kit to my 2017 trdp and I’m quite excited about it after looking at all the great posts on this thread. I’m looking to add a 2/1.5 but not sure what brand yet. I’m eyeing the Icon brand even though I’m not entirely sure if they sell spacers that will fit on my trdp.
So today I took a trip to my local 4wheelparts and talked to the guy at the register. As soon as I mentioned that it was a trdp he told me that they couldn’t touch the suspension as it’s against their policy, claiming it’s dangerous for the driver to make modifications to the suspension without completely replacing it. So I googled a shop close by and the guy at that shop said they would be glad to do it.
Is this truly something that may negatively affect the quality/lifespan of the trdp suspension? I’m pretty noob when it comes to suspensions and most of the knowledge I have comes from reading threads like this. This trdp is my dd with moderate county road driving.

Bilstein Adj Height Shocks?
2016 TRP Pro, 45k miles
Has anybody tried the Bilstein 5100 Adjustable height shocks to lift the front a little? 0-2.5" lift. I have them on my tundra and it has worked great. PN 24-196499
I was also thinking about getting the FJ TRD Pro front springs to add some height and handle a little extra weight. 600lb rating vs the 520lb rating on TRD Pro. I've read 1-2" of lift added. PN PTR13-35140-AA
By combining the two, I can get 1-2" of lift on the front from the spring, with the bilsteins on the lowest setting.. In the future, when I add a winch bumper, I can just adjust the Bilsteins to get the height back lost to the extra weight.
I'm also looking to get new tires soon. Plan on 285/70/R17, unless I can go a little bigger.

Take what 4wp told you. Sounds like a upsell, I used to work there. I really doubt it would negatively affect in the suspension in any way. Your better off calling fox, icon, or king directly. You’ll get a more straightforward answer talking to tech support instead of sales.

So I currently have just the 3/8" thick Cornfed spacer on top of my TRD Pro front coilovers which gave me maybe 3/4" of lift. Looking to add the ToyTec lower perch to gain a little more lift. For you guys running this long term, have you had any issues? Anyone have failed shocks like with the OEM Bilstein's on the Tacoma or the 5100 failures I've seen? Haven't seen anything while looking through this thread but have to ask. Also, it seems some people say they gained more than 1" with the perch, can anyone comment and confirm numbers?
