Trd pro lift question

I have the TRDPRO kit PTR13-89160 on the way for my 2019 SRS Prem, it already has the Toytec 90513 Baja/TRD 1" spacer installed. The driver is set at the 2nd notch for the lean, the passenger side is on the bottom.
Question 1 - how much lift will this yield me in the front? about 1.75"

2)What size Cornfed spacer should I run in the rear, 3/4 or 1"? Or wait and see after front kit is on and settles? I have ICON 2.0 shocks in the rear, no lift.

3)If I get an alignment right after the front and decide to add the rear spacers after, is another alignment needed due to the rear lift?

For reference, my current stock measurements are:
Hub center to fender DF 19.25 PF 19.25 DR 21.5 PR 22
Ground to fender DF 34 PF 34 DR 36.5 PR 37

Your front lift will yield you ~ 2.75” as your lift is usually double your spacer in the fronts.

For the rears 1” sounds about right.

I believe you should always align if your changing heights.

I have the exact kit as well [emoji13] what size tires are you planning ?

thx for the lift info, I was hoping not to go above 2.5, I know the top spacer is dble the size, thought the bottom was 1 for 1, bummer, I may remove the spacer if true. I'm just running the 265 for now, only 1500 miles so far, will look at 275 shortly. Did you already install urs?

I could be wrong but I thought any spacer in the front doubles in lift.

I haven’t installed mine as I don’t have a truck yet [emoji23]

Just a heads up, that spacer only lifts the vehicle 1 inch, as the spacer is only 0.5 inches taller than the stock spring perch. You should get about a 2-inch lift from that setup, TRD pro shocks + Toytech spacer, not a 2.75-inch lift as suggested by another member (I bet he is running the top plate spacer as well, and that WOULD give a 2.75-inch lift.). I am running the same set up on my 2018.

I am not running any spacers for the rear, and I still have a small rake. I do have a winch bumper and winch though.

For your rear, I would go with a 3/4 cornfed spacer. This would leave a very slight rake. The front springs will settle over a few days, and the rake should end up being pretty much perfect. I am very happy that I did not install a rear spacer, as my winch ended up exaggerating my rake.

thanks for the correction  as i'm new to all this spacer stuff. i was told that any spacer in the front would yield double the spacer size in lift.

as for me, i'm not running any spacers as i dont have a 4runner yet. i just collect TRD pro parts ....for now

No problem! A spacer does add "double" the lift compared to the size. However, the black spacer is only 0.5 inches taller than the OEM perch, therefore adding 1 inch of lift over stock. Toytech just calls is a 1-inch spacer because the net lift is 1 inch, not due to the size of the spacer.

Would it make more sense just to replace the front springs with 14"LG X 3"ID X 650lb or 700lb springs from King, Eibach, or Wheelers for $170/pair?

After messing with the Toytec bottom perch spacers and top plate spacers, you will be well over $170.

Now the next question, how much would 14" X 650lb and 14" x 700lb springs lift the front if you don't have an aftermarket plate bumper?

Info above is incorrect. The toytec preload spacer yields 1" It's a preload spacer, not a top hat spacer, they do not work the same way. The pro suspension will give you an additional 3/4" so putting those shocks in your SR5 will yield 1.75" up front. Go 1.5 in the back to keep a slight rake or 1" of you want to be pretty level.

thank you for the clarification, much appreciated. I'll see soon enough, it's due in Friday afternoon.

I'm thinking almost level, slight rake. Don't u have 1.5 spacers possibly 4sale - lol

If the spacers weren't already installed, changing springs may be a good option. I bought this way already assembled for less hassle on the install and hoping for an improved ride with the TRD and a mild lift over stock.

My current set up is as follows. TRD Pro kit with the 1" TT preload spacer and a 3/8" thick Cornfed top hat spacer. In total, I am 2.5" higher up front than I was with stock SR5 suspension. In the back I have factory coils with a 1.5" Cornfed spacer. At 2.5 up front and 1.5 in the back, I have a slight negative rake. If you install your kit as is which will provide 1.75" and go with a 1.5" rear spacer you will have a slight positive rake. I will be replacing my 1.5" rear spacers with 2" spacers for a level stance or maybe a slight positive rake so yes the 1.5" spacers will be up for grabs and are only a few months old. PM me if you want to work out a deal.

If you have the FJ Pro kit, you already have 14" 650 lb coils. The 4R pro kit used a 13" 650 lb coil so swapping to the 14" will provide some lift. That isn't an option for us but of course a heaving spring rate is. Not sure how that'll change ride quality though.

Several of people in the FJ TRD thread said the kit comes with 14" x 580lb springs.

I found out with 14" x 650lbs springs, it's supposed to gain another 0.5" of lift over the springs that came with the FJ TRD kit, which isn't much. And Bilstein says a 700lb spring isn't recommended for 6112's because it's puts too much pressure on the lower seat.

It sounds like I would still need the Toytec lower seat spacer for more lift either with the 650lb springs or top plate spacer.

Too bad no one makes a 15" spring.

That's possible, I may have been misinformed. Either way the lower seat provides 1" and a .5" thick top hat spacer will provide an additional 1"

The front kit arrived today, got it installed fairly easily without any issues, having it preassembled was worth it. Currently sits just over 3" taller, should only be 1.75. I did a quick shake down test drive, all is good. FYI - I did not have to loosen the lower control arm nuts, just the 2 on the hub assembly but I did undo the skid plate and sway bar.
I'm hoping it will settle a lot more before the alignment on Monday. It looks just a little toey.
New measurements:
Ground to fender
DF 37.25 PF 37.25
DR 36.5 PR 37

Any idea why so hi? The kit was exactly as pictured in the thread above.

Which kit? With the pro suspension, the lower spring seat, and the top hat spacer, you will sit right about 2.75 over stock. Can you post pictures of how you installed it? I have seen a bunch of people install the kits incorrectly which causes all kinds of issues and way too much lift.

The kit is PTR13-89160, No top spacer, just the bottom Toytec 1".
The STRUTS are part# PTR13-89160 LF AND RF, the LF(driver) is set at the 2nd notch up and the RF is on the bottom notch.
The springs are TRD part # PTR13-89150-AA
This is my first Toyota front strut change but have done it 3-4 times on my 15 Colorado, similar job.
I undid the sway bar, top 3 strut tower bolts, lower strut bolt, 2 bolts on the lower arm near the ball joint, did not need to loosen the lower arm control nuts. Slid out the OEM strut assembly, slid in the TRD kit, rebolted/ torqued everything. What did I miss? Why is it still sitting so high?
Appreciate any feedback. I may end up removing the Toytec spacer as I don't want to be over 2". The back has no lift.

Is there any chance the unexpected increase lift height is because I'm a 2wd vs 4wd, less weight? If I remove the lower 1" spacer, what part do I replace it with, prev owner did not include the orig spring seat.
