Can't speak for Okki but I have had mine off road several times already. I put a nice scratch in the polished steel outer ring on one when I drove over a tree that snapped and got all smashed around. Honestly I don't care. I did pay less than others, but even at $300 each they are expensive. Still, I got my T4R to enjoy and it already has several nice door dings and many racing stripes from the trails I have hit.

Got my TRD's and Cooper AT/3's on yesterday. 275/70/17 in a C. Love 'em.
I basically had 24 hours on my stock wheels/tires as I just picked up the 4Runner from the dealer on Monday 03/12/2012.
The Coopers ride super nice, a bit stiffer or burly but it feels so much more right. Frankly I cannot tell much of a noise difference at all.
Looking forward to seeing how these really perform in the long run but at this point, very impressed with ride, handling, lack of noise, and looks. Not sure about the mpg yet as I just got them yesterday. So far though from what I see the difference between stock and this setup is going to be very minimal.
This is the vehicles first upgrade over stock. Certainly a win win all around here...

I saw these on a black SR5 at a local dealer. Looked fantastic.
How much do these weigh compared to the standard 17" SR5 wheels? These being forged, they should have a decent weight savings over the standard wheels. I just wish they'd not gone with the faux beadlock look.

Glad you were finally able to pull the trigger on the TRDs Okki, well done. I see that the ToyotaTRDParts price is up to $349 (from the $330 I paid back in Sept) -- did Phil cut you the $330 ea (or better) deal?
Now you just need to get a lift installed before you head to CO this summer! (I'm assuming that you're gainfully employed now given the TRD purchase?)
My local dealer had a set on a Salsa Red TE in the showroom a while back (they were my original TRD wheels that they damaged...). Looked pretty sharp on the Salsa Red..even with the paint damage... Don't have a pic for you though -- I was in last week doing an oil change and they'd sold it (probably w/o repairing the damaged wheels if I had to guess!)
I can't remember the weight off the top of my head, but I weighed my stock TE wheel and the TRD with my digital bike scale and they were nearly identical (I was a little surprised the TRDs weren't a bit lighter). I have my stock TE wheels in the basement and can re-weigh one later this week if you want so you have the weight to compare to your SR5 wheels.

Yeah.. Phil cut me a deal that was better than what was listed but I don't think we'll see the $314 that some of the first buyers got anymore. He told me that the whole sale price went up so the "deal" price is only for existing stock; after that everyone is on the new price.
I wish I had the resources for some shiny Icon goodies, but the budget only goes so far...

I also got the TRD wheels from Phil as well. As Okki notes I don't think he has much room to move on price anymore. It helps that he covers shipping. Phil is a good guy to work with and will give you the best price he can.
Ramzey28 - The Cooper AT/3 in a 275/70/17 Load C were $230 each at Discount Tire. And as for "Burly", well you can tell that it's not a P rated passenger tire when you drive. A little more feedback in the wheel, but the stock tires were a totally different type of tire. And I didn't want a street/hwy tire, that's why I got the Coopers.
MPG on the Coopers - Not sure how much the computer would be off from the stock 265 on the mpg but I am seeing minimal difference in the average right now. Before on the brand new stock tires/wheels, at 130 miles on the odometer the computer showed 20.1 mpg. With the new TRD/Coopers, at 550 miles I am showing 19.9 average mpg. That's a pretty small variance. (I did reset the computer when I got the new wheels/tires.)
I will post up any further findings. I did LOT of research and so far I have gotten exactly what I was looking for. Better ride (for me), stronger side wall but not too stiff, good on/off-road performance, quiet, good looks, decent mpg, and a 50,000 mile warranty to boot. I still do not know about rain/snow/ice performance but that will come.
