Truck is swerving

This started Tuesday afternoon driving home from work. I've got it somewhat narrowed down. When I accelerate to and at freeway speeds, the vehicle swerves to the right. When I let go of the gas, it cuts over to the left. I've checked air pressure in the tires but after that not sure exactly what it could be. Thoughts and opinions most welcome.

Checked all lugs. Don't have a torque wrench but everything was tight.

Crawled under. Right lower link probably shouldn't look like this, correct?

No nut or washer outboard. Going to get new ones. Anyone happen to know if there's a torque value on that?

IIRC somewhere in the 80-100 range. Should be in the repair manual on the Modifications, Write-Ups, Quick Links, and FAQ's sticky.

Putting out a call for help. 2014 Warthog SOcalTRAIL BrianSD_42

Anyway I could persuade you gentlemen to bring a jack and some knowledge to help me get this fixed? Going to Phoenix tomorrow with a one year old in the car. I can provide a thank you beer and gas money. Currently in Poway at my aunts house.

Edit: got the bolt out, and a new nut and washer. Will update as I try to put it back in.

If you are in Poway and need a jack ... I'd suggest buying the floor jack at Costco for $100.

I'm in Irvine today, Corona tomorrow then driving back on the 15 in the late afternoon. I might drive right by you.

I'll be in the CT200h of course which is my DD.

Is it drivable? Looks unsafe.

Can you pound that bolt back in with a hammer?

Quick question ... is that the original bolt from the factory? Meaning did you replace the rear LCAs with aftermarket or something?

Sometimes people have these things replaced or messed with and they come loose down the road for various reasons. That is sort of what happened to 4RipCord's last vehicle.

I think you are quite lucky. This could have ended very badly.

I would have to say torque at least 110-120 lbs on that ? GD lucky didn't come all the way out doing 70mph on the 15 !!!! Holy Fungu

Got the bolt out and am going to use the bottle jack from the truck to put it back in. Should line it up.

Stock bolt and LCA's.

That bolt's been off before just looking at the head of it, but I don't understand how it backed off like that...

The Lower Trailing Arms and Pan-Hard bolts call for about 96Ft.Lbs

The Upper Trailing Arm Bolts call for 59Ft.Lbs

I would check all the others while you're at it.

Post Note-

You'd probably be okay if the bolt fell out as the rubber tension would probably prevent it from just dropping and dragging on the asphalt, while the other 4 bars kept the axle attached to the vehicle. Though as you already noticed it severely hampers the handling of the vehicle.

Oh sorry I didn't see this last night!

Glad you got it sorted... It does remind me that I should go under the runner sometime soon and check/retorque all the suspension bolts before next desert season!

You could have the nut drilled for safety wire or get one that is. Loctite is an option but would probably affect the torque value.
