You could have the nut drilled for safety wire or get one that is. Loctite is an option but would probably affect the torque value.

You could also get a castellated nut, torque it to specs, drill the bolt and insert safety wire or a cotter pin.

Dam, I gotta check the suspension from time to time. My 'RiG' is a school bus for my kids right now. I thought those nuts are 'self-locking' nuts. I had to hold the freakin' nut with my wrench while I turn the bolt just to get it loose. That bolt from the factory is soaked in red loctite too. It just baffles me why the f$@k your bolt came loose?
