Tuff Country Suspension Lift

Doing research on lifts for my 2010, getting a major headache while doing so!

I don't do much off roading but am looking for an affordable lift for looks and tire clearance whenever the time comes.

I would love to have a top of the line kit but financially and economically it doesn't make sense for me to spend that much on something that is only going to be on some back roads every once in a while.

Remember most of the cost will be labor , so if it was me just do the front level kit daystar on amazon or summit should have them ! Assuming headache was from looking in the above sticky?

It's just spacers, Spacers are all the same. You are paying for 4 hunks of metal and it takes the same amount of time/money to install....For a few more $s you could actually put in real shocks and springs that would hold up to a beating offroad (like ARB OME). I think it is the best option for anyone on a budget.

Yea I've read through the Lift/Level thread a million times. There are just so many options and I can't justify spending a lot on something that is mainly for looks.

I had a Daystar lift on my '99, for some reason I have an easier time understanding the 3rd Gen info than this new 5th Gen stuff lol

There are basically two options. Spacers or new springs/shocks...

Once going with springs and shocks for lift, there are adjustable and non adjustable coil overs for the front. Then if you ever plan to do crazy high speed off-road... some people step up to remote reservoir shocks... That is when things get really expensive.

If you are paying to have the install done. It will cost just as much to put on spacers... So I would tell most people to just put on a real lift and the obvious choice is OME ($870). Extremely high quality long lasting stuff at a reasonable price.

3rd and 5th gens are not that different in terms of lifting. The 5th is just heavier....

Sonoran Steel lifts are the best in my opinion. Steve really knows Toyotas

Of course if she has the bucks she should get 51s but not springs to .
