Tundra Rims/Tires

Seeing that I'll probably need tires later this year, that my three-spokes are badly pitted and that I plan to do the Tundra brake mod, I decided to buy some of the 5-spoke Tundra rims. When I last purchased tires a few years back I went with the General Grabber HTS. It's been a good all-around tire though I think they've worn a bit faster than I would have expected.

Wanted to get some feedback from others who have gone to 17" rims. I live in Oregon so a tire that does well in the rain is important. I do some light off-roading but nothing too crazy or too often, mostly just trails when we go camping. Thanks!

I can't tell the difference between 16 and 17" wheels. Maybe slightly stiffer since the side wall is 5mm less. But I don't go rock crawling to need to air down. I think for your needs it will be fine. I think 17's look better. If its mainly a dd and moderate off-road. Its fine.

I just did the tundra brake swap and its very nice. I run OEM 17s, but its the FJ CRUISER rims. I think the offset of both rims are the same. The clearance after the big brake job was more than enough.

As far as tires go, I never ran an A/T tire till my current rig. I'm running TOYOs and I usually run Goodyear. I'm going to buy the Duratracs when these go bald. I've read great things from a lot of people. People from PNW been using them because of the Snow, Rain, etc. I live just above you in WA, so I know how it is.
