turn signal/parking light mod

Hey all,
I was wondering if there is a mod to make the turn signals on the bumper to be modded to come on with the parking lights sortve like the 4th and 5th gen DRLs. If there is somewhere I can see a wire diagram because I couldn't find much

You'd have to change the lamp socket and wire in the additional circuit from the side markers. Here are the diagrams on the existing wiring.

Easiest would be to use switchback LED's but those would have white as the DRL if you wanted.

OK, that is another option, the diagram he posted is not very clear, but I'll try to explain it.

Basically using a standard bosch relay the park lamp circuit is powering the lamp when the lights are on, the relay does nothing because 87a and 30 are a normally closed circuit(always connected). When the turn signal is active, the relay is triggered, opening that circuit, then closing it. This turns the light off and on, as opposed to on and off.

The problem here is the lights MUST be ON to have front turn signals. That poster used them as DRL's, so he must have used an ignition switched power source. Very do able.

I heard a while back that the stock bulbs cause the plastic to melt when used as DRL. I would switch to LEDs just in case.
