Turn signal stalk

There was another thread where I asked this question but did not get any info... Is the turn signal stalk different in 3rd gens with factory fogs and without? Is there a separate switch on it for the fogs? I don't have factory fogs and when I turn my headlights on I don't get power in the factory connectors that are just hanging empty under my bumper. I did put a fog relay in by the way. Its just I saw a writeup where the stalk was swapped to a new one. Also it was not mentioned why or had any pics of the new stalk...

Yes, it's different. There's a rotary switch around the stalk just inboard of the headlight switch for the fogs.

You can go in and make a separate switch from the steering column but either way you will need a relay to give the lights power. I bought a fog light kit that came with the switch and instillation instructions but I bought a stalk with the switch on it instead.

Cross reference the part number and check on ebay. They used the same stalk for a wide range of years. I just picked a nice used one up for $25 on ebay.

This is the ebay store ptcfactoryoutlet that I purchased the kit from. I didn't see any listed on there ebay site. When I googled them this is there web sales page http://yellowandbluelighting.com/-- I didn't see it listed. I bought the kit over a year ago--with it being model specific and with our 4runners age--the kit might not be available anymore.

I bought the stalk from my local Toyota dealer but it could easily be found used from someone on this site.
