I'm not an extended warranty guy unless its a car. What are the price ranges of Toyota Factory extended warranty? Not interested in after market....been there...done that......been burned!!

I don't like extended warranties either. Seems like you need to hire a lawyer just to have repairs done. I just bought my 2014 a few days ago. They were offering an 8yr/100k mile package for $1,540. I thought it was too high. Told him $900 or nothing. Ended up going with nothing 
Contact Jerry Johnson @ Midwest Toyota.... he has the best deals on TOYOTA Extended warranties...

sorry about that....didn't know he was doing anything "against corporate" guidelines...
I just spoke to him on the phone...he can sell warranties....just not out of state anymore. He also said that he did nothing wrong or broke any rules doing what he did... so he MAY be able to sell out of state again.... but I highly doubt he'll be able to.

He can still sell the warranties to ANYBODY just not over the phone you'd have to visit him at the dealer...Which is PRETTY ****ING STUPID. Typical corporate bullshit...

I agree 100% on this! When I bought my 4runner I bought the extended warranty for about $2200... 100k/6years....something like that. This was coming from a very close friends relative who sold me the warranty. He told me he was giving me "employee" pricing. I did get a really good price on the 4runner itself but after thinking about it, it looks like the dealer marked down the 4r and made up money off the warranty he TRIED to sell me.
I canceled this quick and got my money back. Spoke to Jerry and he was kind enough to hook me up with pricing. Same warranty was about 800 bucks! I didn't buy at the time I spoke to him (about a year ago) I should have did it back then! DOH!

From what I understand, you can buy from any dealer before 3 years or 36,000. You have to just buy in person. Am I wrong? Goofy dealer practices will ultimately be why Tesla's direct sales model will become the norm over the next 20 years. Yes, tesla has a fight in many states about direct sales and yes dealers have a strong lobby...but eventually things will change. All this talk reminds me of the terrible GM dealership experiences

its about the wild discrepancy in pricing from dealer to dealer. if its one set price, then its the same from east to west coast. thats the issue i have.
if its $2000 in manitoba and the same price in ontario then i dont have an issue. what i have an issue is when its $2000 in ontario and i goto manitoba and its $1000.
I went with the extended warranty route when i bought my 2014 Limited. When signing papers, they offered it to me at a little over $1,500. I balked and started talking to the guy about it, he eventually gave it to me at what he said was cost of $750. The warranty is for 7yrs 100k. Not too shabby.

was hoping the fed tax return would show up today in the bank, but still nothing. granted not getting much, only $700 surprisingly this year compared to $500 last year.
was gonna apply that to the ext warranty i was going to buy, but now i am not sure how i will do that since my goto person got shutdown.
now i could drive to him since he is only about 650 miles away, but then the cost of driving there and back makes it a break even point to buy it local.
