UCA options in 2023 (Too many issues with SPC Arms)

which bushing type did your SPC UCA had?
I have the previous one, the SpecRide bushings and still doing ok after 22,200 miles. Although I'm thinking of upgrading to the X-axis bushings.

There was excessive movement in the SPC UBJ after almost 16,000 miles of city driving. Replaced them with the greasable version and after 6200 miles still doing good, except for the grease fitting spitting a little grease. will try to replace them this weekend with a Toyota grease fitting.

As far as I am aware mine have the X-axis bushings. And yeah one of my upper ball joints all them also had too much play and pretty much less than 2 years I believe. The first set of ball joints I had day one were immediately just leaking grease all over the place. The new ones don't do that, and I mean trust me I am increasing them and stuff... But it definitely seems like something was wrong with the first pair.

I'm hoping that the jba arms solve the issues so I can get back to focusing on other items. Like bearings...lol

Have a shop machine slots in the 4 mounting holes in a +/- direction that will impact caster. Now it's adjustable! :humble:

Those who have issues with them, are you doing any serious offroading with them?

JBA's are ordered. I REALLY hope I don't get stuck with way too much caster... It's like PTSD from the taco days lol

Does anyone know if I can use the pressed in adapter that the SPC's come with or nay?

Will do, on schedule for next Thursday. All of my tools are packed up right now prepping for a move so I'm at the shop's mercy for this one.

I've had mine for like 5 years and probably 65-70k highway miles. I found a railroad crossing on a back road behind my office that I regularly jump. I've done some pretty stupid things with them in the dirt and they've held up great. I'd buy them again in a heartbeat based on my experience.

Mine are the older tubular style, for what it's worth.

No issues with SPCs and wheeling for me. I bought mine several years ago, they are the older tube type, and have hammered them plenty. I grease them every 3-4 runs. Upgrading from bump stops helps reduce stress on the front suspension considerably, too.

Yes, they are now a cast design for the arms.

Alright boys the new arms are in and I'm happy to report that my shop was easily able to get the caster to 2.7° / 2.8°.

So far as far as I can tell the clunking noise is now gone, however I think the rumble is still there so I'm still leaning towards the rumble being the bearings potentially.

I'll post a picture of the alignment detail when I get home from work. (Forgot to snag a photo of it yesterday)

I just picked up a set of the Freedom Offroad UCAs. A friend has them in his tacoma for over 50k and he has nothing bad to say about them. Going to install them in the next couple of weeks, I'll let ya'll know how they are.
