UCA questions

Do all of you with a suspension lift have different UCA's ?

What is the purpose of putting a different UCA's on ?

I was told to go with Light Racing UCA's when I'm doing the lift.

UCA will help to bring your castor back into spec after a lift. Light Racing are very popular - pricing and also the ball joints require no maintenance.

Aftermarket UCA benefits are when you get a lift.

1.Much stronger then the stamped steel oem ones.Noticeable increased stability when turning and your running bigger tires and a lift.
2.Brings upper ball joint geometry back into specs for better caster alignment.
3.One to two inches of increased down travel from corrected upper ball joint angle and usually a bigger ball joint too.
4. They are usually skinnier then OEM UCA's, being that they are forged instead of bent stamped steel, allowing more clearance between the wheels.

LR UCA's, even though they are made in China for a US company, are well tested with alot of people running them and I hav'nt heard of any problems lately . I have a set of LR UCA's on now and have had no complaints. My TC UCA's I had on were squeaking and need rebuilt but to be fair they were used when I got them.
