Any reason why you went with wheeler's superbumps up front instead of the timbren bumpstops they sell?

You may have mentioned this previously but was there a reason why wheeler's recommended running them on the front of the LCA and not both front and rear?

You should leave one of the stock bumpstops as a final limit on compression. At least that's what they told me and it seems to make enough sense that I believe it.

Have you tested the new bump stops yet? I'm interested to see how the performances is since it looks like the new ones might be tall and soft to start absorbing the impact early. I feel like I'm always bottoming out in the front but I don't want to limit the travel with extended bump stops.

These don't limit your travel at all. The stock rear bump stop is what is still the final stop on travel in the suspension. These bumpstops are very soft. This is on a 2nd gen tacoma, but you get the idea.

Do you know of any decent mechanics around Huntsvile I can take the 4Runner to get the u-joints replaced so I don't have to spend a lot of money at the dealership

Sorry I'm not of much help here. I've only ever had work done at one shop here and it was on my Supra. I had the clutch replaced at Diehl off of Governors. They aren't super cheap either, but they did a good job. Now I do all my own work and save the $$$.
I bet you'd like them, if not they're cheap. Only like $50 for a neat mod.

Small update, I think the clunking could be coming from my front driveshaft as I never regreased the slip joint after lifting. I also noticed I have a slight weep from my front output shaft on the transfer case so I'll have to order the parts and replace that. I'll push all the old grease out of the slip joint and put fresh grease in there at the same time and see if that helps my issue at all.
Last weekend I went down to Panama City Beach and did a little camping and fishing. No pictures of the 4Runner because myself or my girlfriend are in all the pictures and I don't know how I feel about posting pictures on the internet of myself for all you strangers to see but I have a few pictures of the fish before I got them cleaned and fried.

I'm thinking about going down to charleston this weekend and doing a little fishing and camping/exploring. If anyone is in that area let me know and we can meet up and do something.

Bring your wallet. Charleston isn't cheap. There aren't many public places to wheel, mostly private. The redfish and trout are biting if you have access to a boat. Otherwise try the Folly Beach pier.

I plan to be cheap while I'm there. I'll be by myself so no eating out, just camp cooking, and the $20 or so a night to camp at the park. Not too much into touristy places. I was deciding between myrtle beach and charelston, but I think charleston will be better for me. I won't have access to a boat unfortunately. I wish I had my kayak with my but it's back in Alabama.
Deep sea fishing was a blast as usual. I wish grouper or red snapper were in season. I really like the taste of grouper, but after having triggerfish I think I have a new favorite. It tasted and had the consistency of chicken. This is what we caught last time when we had the chance to go out on a friend of a friend of a friend's boat. Nothing like getting to use someone else's $750k boat!
