Canada – August 2017
Here’s a trip report from when I went to Canada this summer.
Day 1
My girlfriend and I left from South Carolina bright and early, right around 6 PM… We had hotel reservations in Hagerstown, Maryland. We made it in very late, and went straight to bed. Nothing much to see this day since all the driving was at night. I’ve driven the I-81 corridor multiple times before though.
A blurry West Virginia sign.

Day 2
We got a much earlier start this morning, and had to make it to Boston for the night. She has an uncle in Boston who really wanted to see us, so we made a detour on the way to Canada to see him. I had no desire to drive anywhere near New York City, so I planned a route around. This day I added two new states to the list of states I’ve been to, New York and Massachusetts.

We got to Boston, and met up with her uncle. He showed us around Boston a little that night, showing us the bay, “the big dig”, and Harvard, his alma mater. We ate at a local Thai place that evening, which was good. The weather was incredible, so much nicer than the hot humid August nights we have down south. Unfortunately I didn’t get any pictures while we were in Boston.
