Unused "A/T" idiot light?

When strongly sunlit, the dash of my 2016 TEP has a area that shows a light (or position for a light) that would shine "A/T", there is another one that is "P" right above it. Not sure if the P A/T" woud be one light or separate lights.

These are on the left hand side. The do not illuminate during ON phase of startup (when all the lights are supposed to come on.)

What option would use these indicators, or is it just something in the dash design that never ended up getting used?

Kill the headlights
And put it in neutral
Stock car flaming' with a loser
And the cruise control
