Updating Navigation on Pioneer AVIC-D3

Anyone purchased a new(er) CD from Pioneer or another aftermarket company that will work with this HU?
I have what I believe to be a burned copy of the maps for mine and it is more out of date than my 2008 Garmin external GPS. Kinda sad, in my opinion.

Can you only get the upgraded CD directly from Pioneer? It's pretty expensive for just the disc, but I guess they can do that....
Anyone have any help or input for this particular model or know where I can find a newer version of the maps?

you can check avic411.com they would be the most comprehensive forum for possibly helping you get what you want. I know Pioneer has update discs for your particular unit. I was able to do the software update and simultainous map update on my Pioneer avic Z110 and I converted it to a Z120.
