Hi. I'm new to the forum, having just purchased this vehicle. Wonder if I could get some help with the sound? I'd like to do some work to upgrade, and have the following in mind:
* Most of what I listen to is either FM radio or my iPhone 5 library
* I use a headset when I want to talk in the car on the phone, but would consider Blutooth
* I want my iPhone charging when I am in the car
* I don't want to change the JBL dashboard control, but do want better sound....
I've done some work already, and have come up with the following mods:
+ Will be installing the USA SPEC PSA15-TOY iPhone interface which takes care of charging and connecting to JBL dashboard control
+ I could add the USA SPEC BT-35 TOY which would give me Blutooth, but not ready for that just yet, as I have not dealt with sound.
From what I've read already, you can add a new subwoofer and subwoofer amp from JL, but is that all I need to do to get better sound? I find that with the stock system (10 speakers?) I only hear the little one in the centre of the dash, but not much else. I know there is sound coming out of the other speakers, just nothing pronounced,
Any thoughts on what I'm thinking and recommendations?
