Thank you to all who voted for me as T4ROTM!!!

Just returned from another amazing Windrock Trip. This was by far some of the most challenging wheeling I have ever done. The trails at Windrock are rated like ski runs. Blue, black etc. This trip myself and [MENTION=67110]RedDragonATL[/MENTION] decided to tick off some black diamonds and double black diamond trails.
The truck did great as I continue get the feel of all the changes. All the armor is scraped up. Front, back, side, under, is all showing bare metal. I picked up one body scrape on the driver's side rear door. Should touch up, buff up, and be mostly unnoticeable.

It took a lot of work to get out of there without too much damage. The wrong line put your roof line on the top rock. A guy in front of me, crushed his windshield and windshield support on that rock. Trying to hug the bottom rock is where my drivers rear door got a little rock kiss.

Oh no not Little School Bus!!

I made the mistake of listening to a couple guys and followed them up there when on was on the 255's. I was still locked F/R, needless to say I have a lot of body damage to show from that.

I love the ORI's. It took a bit of trial and error to get the pressures right, but still far and away easier than trying to tune in coilovers.
They are perfectly stable on the road, cruising' at 75mph, changing lanes, off ramps at speed, etc. I am not running sway bars, bumps, or straps.

Getting used to all the travel and their behavior is still something I am getting used to. At one point this weekend, we were going down a steep trail with lots of switchbacks. Mostly just dirt and small rock. 5mph or less. In order to make the turns I would try to get wide, then turn in towards the apex. On one particular left turn, I swung wide, which put me up a bit of a berm. As I started left, I nearly flopped it. Since this was a fairly steep downhill it felt like the only thing left on the ground was my left front. I guess my left rear was down, but the right rear was wayyyyyy up in the air, and I believe R front was unloaded, if not in the air. The guy behind me jumped out of his truck and tried to put weight on the R rear corner of my bumper....but he couldn't reach it. I was nose down and it was way up there. I was able to turn slightly and reverse back out of the line and level out. Scared the crap out of me. After so many hard trails, I nearly flopped in the dirt.
So, I am considering adding in an Antirock Sway bar. I need to research it a bit to see if that would help. Mostly, I think a little more seat time will fix it. I've never had a rig with so much suspension travel. I was nervous after that and made multi-point turns on all the rest of the switchbacks.

Yeah. The damn short bus. The last obstacle of that trail took over an hour to get 5 trucks through. At one point we had a double winch line set up to stay upright and off the body panels.
The bad part is, I loved that trail; right up until the last obstacle. By that point, you are fully committed. I'm not so sure I would do it again, unless I can come up with a full tube door setup, and maybe some tube fenders. A cage is getting higher and higher on my list.

On a side note, I turned over 299,000 miles on the trail this past weekend! I thought that was pretty cool. I would like to pop the 300k cherry on the trail too. I Will have to plan out my miles, and may need a spontaneous trip to get it.

Thanks Jason! Your truck did phenomenal. Considering how difficult the trails were, its amazing we all drove out, then drove home. A testament to the truck and your build. Nice work. And thanks for spotting me through the majority of the park.

I am using 14" ORI's and these towers: Universal Front Coilover/Shock/Strut Towers : TMR Customs, Custom Fabrication Components for Offroad Vehicles

Keeping it low with 3 link is tough. A radius arm setup could probably get lower. Basically I mocked the axle up in full stuff, with little room between panhard and oil pan (t100 pan). Then based the tower height off of that. So worst case scenario, even if ORI lost all pressure, there is no contact.
Initially, I felt like it came out a little higher than I wanted. Now, I love it.

Very nice rig! I would love to sas my runner but I would lose my Camburg LT set up. Dual cases are the highest on the list right now. How do you like the swag off road action packer holders? I'm considering them for my storage needs. I like the ff rear set up. That's on my list so I can flat tow it behind my camper. Congrats on the TR4OTM!

There have certainly been a lot of changes over the past 6 months. 12 weeks of jackstands for SAS, 1 wheeling trip followed up by 6 weeks of jackstands for the rear suspension, then, finally, some consecutive, outstanding wheeling trips. I am really happy with the performance of the truck right now. Nevertheless, there is always a list in place and I am looking forward to the next few phases.

I had wanted the SAS for a long time. The straw that broke the camels back on the IFS was the steering rack. Funny, because it's an easy fix. However, I finally just gave up throwing money and parts at the IFS, and decided I would rather dedicate the time, energy, and money toward the SAS. Now that the dust has settled, it really wasn't that big of a financial hit. All of the IFS upgrades sell quickly, everybody has coupons especially around the holidays, sell that mountain bike you never ride, and you are pretty much there.
The swag off road holders have been great. The small action packers are great because you can have a number of them pre-packed with different load outs. Camping, wheeling, or daily driving. Load and go. I love modular setups. However, I may be changing directions with regards to cargo storage in the back of the truck. Still lots of ideas, and just trying to plan 3 steps ahead so I don't have to redo things. Not sure if the swags will make the cut, but they have been great.
The Front Range Off Road full float rear has been one of my favorite upgrades.

37" Pitbull Rockers on 17" Trailready Beadlocks!

I've wanted these wheels ever since [MENTION=67615]Dirtco[/MENTION] got them 2+ years ago, and I've wanted these tires ever since [MENTION=62779]Kurtis[/MENTION] got them 1+ years ago. Love em!

I headed back to Choccolocco Offroad Park this weekend. I broke there last year. Split the spider gear in my rear diff. This year would be a different story.
I came a' packin'! :gun4:
SAS, Full Float Rear, 14" ORI's, 37" Pitbulls and 17" beadlocks. The trail I broke on last year was ironically called, 'Rubicon'. This year....Walked it! Then turned around and Walked it the other way! Followed by another turn around, and walked it back the other way! You get the idea. Had a grudge.

The only carnage...Me!

I slipped down a trail called 'Boat Ramp' while trying to help another guy winch up. Name says it all. Steep, slick slab of rock. It'll buff out.

wow... your rig is a monster! i want to thank you for the adjustable panahard bar, i dont know if i ever actually officially did so, if not im sorry for not doing so sooner, and a big thank you! it has made my rear axle more centered. i need to drill a new hole on my drop bracket so i can move the bar up a little and then adjust it out and get it right. currently its adjusted all the way in and just slightly out still.

anyhow a big thank you and congrats, your runner is truly awesome and one of a kind!
