Urban Runner TomTom?

I am in the middle of changing out this POS and the wireing harness I ordered doesn't fit. I ordered the non JBL harness. Is this a JBL setup? does it matter? Or did I just get the wrong crap?

Quick replies please since my dash is apart. :redbrick:

Swapped mine out right after i bought it. AFAIK the harness is unique to the UrbanRunner. I had to cut the plug off the the wiring harness from the TomTom and solder the plug from the new Kenwood head unit to the harness. Had to search on the internet to get the wiring diagram for the 4r harness to match up the wires.

I ended up doing the same thing.

Now I have an issue with the steering wheel controls. What did you do for that?

This plug is missing too. Or at least it's different. There is one plug that only has 4 wires on it. I'm thinking this is the control, but not sure about the colors.

Thanks

I used the SWI-PAC from Crutchfield. It gives you control over volume, change the songs from the Ipod or change the source. It uses the 4 pin plug. You have to cut it off and direct wire it.

I have one and know the connector, but not sure which wires are which. Are they the same color? I didn' take that close of a look.

It was over two years ago and i suffer from CRS (Can't remember $#/!) so i'm not sure how i wired it. I'll look around when I get home. I may have traced it with the help of a volt/continuity meter.

lol, I suffer from the same disease.

I did find out how to find the Neg control wire, but not sure which part of the white wire to connect it to. The one with or without the resisitor? The PAC site is a little lacking with info.

thanks for the help
