Ive just seen several shots of trucks going over this and have never seen a spotter in the picture. I couldn't imaging there wouldn't be one, I had just never seen it. Its good to see the Toyota's were represented well Saturday.

Yeah, spotter was standing about 30 feet in front of the bridge, so he's out of most pictures. You can see him in this one:

We did have a decent Toyota turnout, the three 4Runners and two Landcruisers, and I think six Jeeps, and the awesome Bronco you can see in that pic too.

The class was full, but they have two more coming up, one in May and one in June. I'll be going back to one of them with my Dad, he was supposed to have been there but couldn't make it.


So who's going to the Jamboree Saturday? I just signed up myself and a Jeep friend for one of UORTC's trail scavenger hunt rides Saturday morning.

Ill be down at the jamboree on Saturday mid-late morning. if you find me and the kiddo walking around ill have stickers to pass out if they get here in time.
 
I think I'm heading down, I don't want to wake up early though so probably leave Raleigh ~8 and arrive ~10

I hope I can buy things from Vendors, I still have a few recovery items to purchase

Headed down first thing tomorrow morning. Ill be around most of the day, keep an eye out for me, ill have an Apex Overland shirt on.
 
I'll be there around 9:30, doing the 10:30 UORTC trail ride with some family tagging along in a Jeep, then who knows what. Never been to one of these before.

If you see a group of people with two Goldendoodles that's us :D

Think I've only been on Dickey Bell with my 4runner(?)Got scared of some jagged rocks part way through though and turned around because I didnt have a spare at the time.

Edit: Looking again at the map it may have been Rocky Mountain loop that I did partly. based on my memory of its location.

Did you end up getting a group together to go today? I'm sure I'll head down at some point but it will depend on when others would be interested in going. Wish I would have found this post earlier!
