A Rav4 runs the 1/4 in the 14.7 range which is decent quick but I'm not so sure it would be quicker than that. You still have a bit over 2 tons to get moving but definetly want to see how quick it really is. Cool project but not for the mechanically challenged or faint of wallet.
Isn't the Rav4 Toyota's fastest production vehicle right now...?
More on topic, congrats Singtoe.
Buckle up.olice:
It is not very precise but in the vdo, my odometer did start at 5.4 but I couldn't tell where in the time frame 5.7 was but it looks like right 14 second mark.
Financially, I made money on this project. The motor + trans was left over from the repair of the Second Sequoia. The Second sequoia paid for itself and the first sequoia.
I sold my 5V-FE motor swap for $1100.
Stuff I bought.
100 wire connectors, loom and circuit breaker,............................ $100
A/F sensor (stole it to put on the other Sequoia)......................... $45
2 COIL packs (stole them for the other Sequoia).......................... $150
Fuel filter............................................................................. $17
2 Electric fans....................................................................... $140
AC Hose fab.......................................................................... $135
Drive Shaft Shortening............................................................ $109
Oil Change (5-30w Castrol /Purolator Sale)................................. $21
Exhaust elbow and gaskets...................................................... $25
Red Antifreeze....................................................................... $20
Body lift bolts (grade 8 hardware).............................................. $20
Hose (evap stuff)................................................................... $20
Welding wire and electrodes..................................................... $60
Radiator............................................................................... $135
Total of $977 - $1100 (sale of motor) = $123 profit.
Mind you, I still have the tranny and transfer case to sell.
