V8 Exhaust Help

I take that back. Sounds Bad Ass. Man that is a nice Tone. This decision is gona be harder than I thought. How is it on the highway? I am very happy I chose the V8. Can't wait to here this thing Rumble a little bit.

Highway cruising it is barely audible, but once you start on the throttle you can hear the deep rumble. Maintains a crisp exhaust note throughout the RPM range with zero drone (due to the Helmholtz resonator).

That does sound killer? What is the cost of that muffler, before all the fab work he did?

I had the whole system installed for $495 out the door, not sure what the cost would be for just the muffler, however, I'd recommend having him fab and attach the resonator he makes to eliminate drone.

I'll try to get some audio captured from within the cabin to give an idea of what it sounds like.

That would be the best solution, but the price for the gas to get there might put me a little out of my price range, as well as trying to explain to the wife why it would take 4 or 5 days to "run an errand".....lol

That is 1 Hell of a Milk Run. Hey Baby be back in a few...days :bounce:I also have to think about Not driving the wife or kids Nuts either so a happy medium is Best. The sound clips help a lot thanks guys. Still looking around thanks for all the input as it is really helping me. Some great options out there.

Just contacted Dirty Deeds about a muffler. Looking forward to hearing back. Looking at Borla and Flowmaster 50 and 70 ii as well.

Dirty Deeds it is. Thank you Keith for being so prompt in your responses to my e mails. I will be placing my order soon. Muffler will be 22"x 6" with a Helmholz resonator for $175 plus shipping. Can't wait to get it and install. If I could afford it I would do his Cat Back system. Awesome Customer Service.

FWIW I put a 14" case Magnaflow on mine with the resonator deleted. It's actually not as loud as i'd like, it has some drone with is tolerable but for the amount of drone it has I wish it was louder outside. I'm thinking about adding a large tip that sticks out further, right now it comes out basically where the stock resonator starts. Hoping the large tip will give it more sound and having it stick out just past the fender will get rid of a bit of drone.

The sound is awesome. Not as loud as I want since i'm used to the Magnaflow on my truck with a small block and no cats, but I like the smooth sound and it can get very loud when I get on it. Gonna add a no-oil Airaid or AFE drop-in filter soon, hopefully that with my HCF delete will add a bit more sound too.

i recently purchased a dynomax vt muffler....3" center in offset out....barely any notable difference over stock at all....very slight low idle rumble and the only noise i hear on the road is all drone...very unhappy with this muffler so far....will be removing for a full exhaust system asap! Thinking true dual with high flow cat headers....flowmasters?
