Im getting 7mpg?

I dont know why or how, but my 04 4.7 v8 is getting 7 mpg highway:redbrick:. NOT GOOD. I dont know what happened and im not too engine savy so im not sure what caused that. Something happened, maybe i need a tune up. Any ideas or suggestions please help, i cant afford 200$ a month on gas, thats obscene. ive only had the car for about a month and didnt realize it till the other day.

2. Atlanta GA - Very Humid throughout the summer
3. 87 Octane
4. 170k miles
5. Avg to aggressive driving
6. MIX of driving
7. avg 14.5 mpg

I've noticed the computer is off by about 1MPG and calculate it myself. I've also never been able to do better than 16.5mpg even on long roadtrips

Have you serviced the vehicle since you purchased it?
How are the tires?
Spark plugs?

And the list:
1. 2004
2. North Midwest
3. 87 Octane
4. 148,000 miles
5. Generally agressive
6. Mix, leaning towards highway
7. Average of 17 mpg on most days, tanks with more city driving drop to 15, 100% highway tanks get 18-20 depending on speed
Those are all calculated. I track my tanks and over the last 30,000 miles my meter has been 1.5 mpg off on average (with larger tires than stock).
