So starting to get some odds and ends ready for the long travel install. Dove into cutting up the front fenders. Here are a few pics from this weekend. Hoping to start tackling the more daunting install next weekend and the the following week...Will keep everyone updated as she evolves.

Definitely will be able to see the kings and TC gear a lot better now ;)

Personally I love them! Literally brings her back to stock, rpms are great at high speeds and has a bunch of pep if you need to make a green light. Perfect for 33" Tires. Thinking about upping the tire size to 285/75/17's within the next year. Will see how it handles with those guys...

You should be fine with the 285/75/17's. Great size tire.

How did it effect your gas mileage. 33's are killing my mileage on stock gears. I have been rolling them for about 4 months now, happy with daily driving, but I havnt had a chance to wheel with them yet.

I would like to know also. Did you replace the front diff as well with 4.10? Or just the rears ?

For the record, don't ever just replace one diff with a separate gear ratio. Its fine if you never and i mean never use the 4wd but if you use 4wd you will blow up so much sh*t if you have separate gear ratio's in your front and rear diffs.

Gas mileage, meh stopped paying attention on that guy awhile back. It does alot better in the mountains now and doesn't jump into the higher RPM's as much. Just feels like the truck isn't working as hard anymore. And it doesn't sit at high RPM's while doing 75. Personally think this is a great set of gears to go to if you want to stay in that 33" tire range. Hope this answers your all's questions.

Awesome 4runner. You've done way more in 3 years than I have in 5. Good ideas on what mine could look like. I really like the looks of the Whitson rack.

Very nice rig Brian! Haven't seen you guys since Salida last summer. I'm anxious to see/hear how your long travel turns out.

Awesome man! Following, can't wait to see you install all the goodies!

Sent from the drivers seat of my 05 4runner.

Starting the disassembling tomorrow. Hopefully get 70% of the welding done this weekend...I know its ambitious but hopefully. Will definitely take tons of photos, incredibly excited. Still no idea on when the custom Kings will ship yet but fingers crossed it will be by today or tomorrow (tomorrow is 3 weeks since the order went in) Welding the lower cam tabs, spindle gussets, bucket tower gussets, and hopefully the front diff mount arms. Going to be a busy weekend that's for sure!!

So here are some progress shots. Been a long two days, bucket tower gussets are on, ground down all of my wonderful surface rust. Got 95% of the rear suspension off thanks:tellurunner: Still have one shock that will not come off the dang lower shock mount. If anyone knows what to do please let me know. Tried everything and no luck. Hoping to get the tabs and other bucket done tomorrow. Been great having 2 others to help. Definitely had a few moments that were tough. Broke the wheel speed sensor, front lower shock bolts were seized (after 2 years), mounted the metal tech links backwards a few times, and that one damn shock won't come off in the back. Work in progress thats for sure!

So today was decent progress. All bucket tower gussets done, and lower control tabs installed. Got the rear shock off. Wasn't an easy process that is for sure. All I can say is use as much as possible antiseize. Hit one issue when extending the axles, you have to have stock axles or OEM. The rock auto ones won't work with the TC axles...luckily i had one spare but am in desperate need of a OEM one. So if anyone is in the denver area and has an extra that they are willing to part with please let me know! I have a cardone rock auto one with heavy duty boots that only has 20k on it that I can trade with ya.

Does your stereo deck have a trim kit on it or does it really fit that cleanly

Trim kit. Crutchfield is your friend. They have all the kits put together nicely for ya!

Thanks man! Was it plug and play with the old Nav unit? And does it work with the steering wheel controls? Sorry for all the questions been trying to figure out what I wanna do for a while. Also sweet build [emoji106]
