I have the Revo II A/T's
There were a couple obstacles at OEX where I was the only truck to make it up first try...
and believe me, it's not my exceptional driving skill...:lookout:

Went through most of my camping gear today (I say most as because of non use for the past several+ years it's gotten scattered all over) and it looks like I should be good to camp for the weekend. I just need to set up my tent tomorrow to make sure its all good and I need to get a new air mattress. If all goes well with the tent then I'm going to register tomorrow night:thumb3:
Pat and Joneseyy, I see you are both active in the thread over at Expedition Portal so maybe you know if the trail rides are full or not? Or if they even limit them to a certain amount of vehicles? This is the main reason I would like to attend, along with checking out yours and other peeps set-ups for ideas, so if they are filled up I'll probably not go.

Send Peter (Vermont Overland) Vollers a PM...I'm sure he can update you
on another note...don't go crazy worrying about gear, I have enough for 10 people, and bringing my 11 x 11' tent (with heat)..as far as cooking I have a full setup, and it's just as easy to cook for 4 as it is for two. Your welcome to use my shower but you have to BYOW....probably at least 10-15 gals for drinking, bathing, cooking etc. Showers take about 2 gals. or so...and I have plenty of propane. My buddy's coming along for the ride, so he'll be in the tent..but if it's $hitty or cold, you'd be welcome to stay in there as well.
We'll finalize a list prior....beer-check...beer-check...beer-check..:hello:

Maybe your rig can be base camp and the rest of us can do food etc, if we're all gonna camp together no need for everyone to bring their kitchen. I'd be more than happy to bring cold cuts, rolls, chips etc for lunches on the trail and then copious amounts of tips and chicken with sides for dinner one night. Someone else do dinner on Saturday, someone on paper and plasticware etc...

Yup most of them. You'd think for nearly 40k Toyota would give you a decent tire, at least an A/T on the Trail Edition.

Plus there's a pretty nice grocery store in town, my plan is to have enough to get through Thursday/Friday, then head in and do a meat run.
I picked up a new Camp Chef Sport grill, so we should have plenty of grilling space...but bring what makes you most comfortable. I have pans , skillets, spices, tables,utensils, dishes, glasses, and my buddy is a gourmet chef

I know this is a touch off topic but I'd really like to go to this next year and fora stock SR5, what mods would one realistically need? I don't really want to do a lift or bumper as it is primarily a daily driver.
Obviously A/T tires are a must, likely 275. A compressor for airing up and down, rear hitch D shackle, Recovery gear including a snatch strap, tow strap, maybe some maxtrax, plus shovel and gloves. Some underbody protection would probably be needed if not lifting.
One element stressed is recovery points and aside from a new front bumper there doesn't seem to be a good option for the 4runner. Would the above be sufficient? I don't have any offroad driving experience aside from driving on the beach in the outer banks (which is really nothing...) and I would be hoping to gain some experience here.

I don't think I'm gonna make it for tomorrow as I've been very sick since Saturday, some kind of viral lung infection.:barf: Thought I'd be over it by now but it persists, my doc has me on antibiotics so I'm hoping for Friday. If not then maybe just a day trip on Saturday :shrug:

Okki, I am baffled. Outside of the obvious that you can do it, why all this in German? Sorry for the ignorance, but........be safe.
hahahahahahaa that is the Peter Schilling follow up to David Bowie's "Major Tom". I was seeing how far TitanPat's music knowledge went on the Major Tom saga. The original is German, although there was an English rendition done as well. I always liked the German version better. especially the chorus line flows nicely.
