How do I turn on the orange signal lights?
The ones next to the fog lights.

The DRL's? or the marker lights? I am confused...you have them both on in the pic it looks like

If you are talkin about the DRL's...i know if you have your parking brake on when you start your truck, the lights wont go on until you release it

That is not my rig.

I am talking about the BRIGHT amber lights
next to the wheels. Marker lights I guess?

Those are the daytime running lights. If you don't have DRL, then the dealer may be able to turn them on via the computer in the truck.

ohhh, yeah those are the daytime running lights...mine are always on...maybe you dont have the daytime running lights...if you dont i dont know how to turn them on

When I put my Hazard Lights on they blink.
So those are the DRL, which I dont have.

You can also put those lights on by turning on your parking lights. Just click the headlight switch once instead of twice. Mine has the DRL's, so I am not 100% sure if that will happen on your truck.

On toyota.com, it lists DRL as a dealer option for $40. I assume that you can get it after the car is shipped.

That light is your turn signals. Unless you have drl's they aren't going to go on unless you are making a turn.........and use you signals.

DRL..........

After market installation of DRL is very costly.........some dealers even said it can't be installed!. DRL on 4Runners is just that yellow light in the bumper area. Initially I thought that DRL should be a regular light with less brightness (like in Lexus). When I took my 4Runner to dealer to get a quote for installing DRL, he checked my vehicle and said I already have it (yellow one)!!!!!!!!!!.

This haas been discussed before, but I believe the dealer basically programs them to turn on. I know they can program it to be off, but they charge $40 buck for that too.

I believe if you read the owners manual it says the dealer can program them to be on or off.

DRL.....

I believe that if SUV comes with day time running light enabled (installed), then we can disable it. But if it doesn't come with DRL option installed, according to Toyota dealer, they need to install additional 'stuff' to make it work. Please check with your dealer. I may be wrong.
