A friend of mine works for Toyota in Colo. ...i guess a State Patrol Officer came in and said a driver was speeding cuz their pedal stuck ....funny how he stopped for the ticket tho...IDIOT!

Wow...just wow...this incident was obviously all her fault. Just cause she doesn't know how to drive doesn't mean she can make lies about it and blame Toyota. Like someone said earlier, if she was going downhill and turning a corner while raining, her foot should NOT have been on that gas pedal at all. She's just full of sh!t. Period.

People are going to get a LOT of mileage out of this recall. Have you begun to see the commercials Toyota is airing because of their situation. Never saw that from any other car company before. I give them credit for that.
It's unfortunate because with the way the economy has affected the Auto industry, this is the last thing this country needs, but there are going to be people out there trying to make a fast $$$ if they can. In the end we all pay!!

My guess as to what happened is this women was speeding and she drives with 2 feet, and as she started the oversteer on the hairpin corner she panic and put her hit the gas pedal hard thinking it was the brake. And when she realized the toyota recall stuff she hopped on the bandwagon.

Guys, I said it before and I'll say it again....this whole Toyota fiasco is an opportunity for the idiots of the world to place blame on Toyota for their own failures. I'm not saying that Toyota doesn't have a problem on their hands because they obviously do, but that doesn't mean these nutcases won't do everything to blame Toyota even when an accident is their own fault.

Hell, if I had a Camry and accidentally rear-ended someone on the road, I'd probably tell the cops that the car accelerated on its own and wouldn't stop no matter how hard I stomped on the brakes. Okay, I wouldn't do that, but there are a lot of people who will.
