None at all. Like I said, I've done this in my '99 Tacoma and been thru a lot of wet/muddy/snow since the install and not once have I had an issue with it being slippery.

That would be cool if it did fit, save a ton of work on the install and fit much tighter than vinyl flooring. But you can get new ACC vinyl flooring off Rock Auto for $122. I'm trying to keep all my mods on the 4runner as cheap as I can without cutting too many corners.

I looked into this for my Tacoma extracab and the consensus was that while there are kits available, they don't fit very well and are a pain in the butt to install. I got Husky liners and called it good enough – they make 'em for the 4th Gen, and I know this cuz I just ordered some.

Just bought a molded vinyl floor for mine from here. Have yet to install it, should get around to installing it here in the next few weeks. i have long tube headers to install and a catback to make so the flooring will go in after that.

Very nice. Post up pics when you do the install and of the completed job. Do you plan on doing any sound deadening when you do the vinyl? I highly recommend it if you have not thought of it yet. When I did my Tacoma, it was obvious very quickly that it needed to have sound proofing done with the vinyl floor. Doesn't insulate noise any where near as well as carpet.

yea, i plan to do a layer of noise insulating foam when i pull everything out. I honestly forgot about ordering the kit until you mentioned it here lol.

Doesn't appear to be available any longer but there are other options that are similar. Make sure you do a layer of the anti-vibration stuff too, it does make a difference.

I’m actually wondering if it’s worth it leaving the carpet underneath for soundproofing.

That would be too thick. You have to remove the carpet before installing the vinyl. Sound damping/deadening is the only option.
