Vinyl wrap roof before installing Gobi??

So I've been waiting for the weather to clear to wash and wax my roof before installing my Gobi. I've been really trying to figure out an efficient way to wax my roof enough to keep it protected under the rack and basically the only real solution is to remove it every now and then and then reinstall it after applying the new wax. However it just hit me that I've got a good friend that does vinyl wraps at a local business here. What do y'all think of having the roof wrapped in gloss white, to match my paint and keep it protected? Has anyone else done this??

I was going to have it done but I just pop the rack off once a year and wash/clay/wax

I would clear bra it if you think there's any chance of anything rubbing. I carry small patches of clear bra just for that reason and use them when I have a rub spot potential on any of my roof items. But I don't really care about protecting the paint from the sun long term. Just from rubbing through.

[MENTION=141529]Zmartin19[/MENTION] I wish I would have done this before putting my rack on. I will take it off and film it some day. I have trees all over my driveway that drop all manner of berries and sap all the time. It tore up my wife's Highlander roof over the years, eating away the paint with all the acidity. Of course you can still clean under there with a pole, but not as easily or effectively, IMO. My circumstances may be unique, but I definitely don't see a bad side to filming it first.
