Try ebay. its cheaper than the dealer
And a quick search for "vvt-i" gives more than 20 current auctions. Prices range from $11.45 to $22.50 (shipping not included). Lots of claims that each has the real thing and others have fakes. YMMV.

I've been stationed here in Guam for the past 8 months and 4Runners are everywhere. The one thing that distinguises the Runners that are sold here in Guam is that they all have the VVT-i emblems. I sure would like to have one someday.

If they all have the VVT-i emblem, then maybe you could get one if you see a 4Runner that's been debadged. Maybe even give someone the idea to debadge so you can get it.... ;):

Could you double check with your dealer about the part# of that emblem?

4Runner owners here take pride on their vehicle so I doubt somebody would want to "debadge" them. I will check with the dealer and post the info.

The local dealer doesn't carry the VVT-1 emblem. I did learn that when they get the new shipment of 4Runners, the VVT-1 emblems are located inside the glove compartments then the mechanics install them. Call me cheap but I don't like paying $15 per emblem. I'll be going to Japan within the next month and will probably buy tons of them.
