Walker Cat 2 Year Update

After my original Toyota cat (about 98% depleted) was stolen a little over two years ago, I put on a Walker cat because it was only about $175 USD compared to over $2000 for another Toyota oem cat. The muffler dude advised against the Toyota oem cat because it would be exposed to theft again because it had more valuable precious metal content than the Walker.

I just had my second Calif emissions test and it passed with flying colors. In fact the smog dude was BLOWN AWAY because it scored as well as a new car!
Notice how low the readings were for all measurements. Not bad for a car with over 282,000 miles!

That is good to know, thanks. I feel it is inevitable that my cat will get stolen eventually and it is nice to hear of an alternative that seems to work.

Thanks for taking the time to share good information. I will be having my exhaust replaced in a few months and I too will be replacing a stolen cat.
