Sweet setup!

Did you have to remove any of the plastic inside to get everything to fit properly?

Where did you run the wires?

Did you install the headrest monitors yourself?
 
Thanks for the comment. Yes I had to remove a lot of plastic from the panel. If I did not shave some of the plastic I would not have very much room. I did a similar setup in my Wife's 4Runner but she would not let me shave the plastic, so I was only able to place a single amp in the rear wall.
The wires run along the bottom of the door and along side an exsisting tube. And yes I also installed the monitors myself. We are lucky with the way the seats are designed (at least when it comes to running wires through it). The seats have a lot of room and with two zippers on each one, wiring is easy. I even had enough room to place an Amp in the passenger seat!

Looks great! Now I have some ideas. I only have one amp to install.

Which side did you run power wire? Signal?

For your wife's install, was the amp placed towards the front or rear?

Any advice from you experience installing the amp in the side? I plan to install this weekend.

Bulto, All my wires are going along the passenger side. This is highly un-recommended, as may have engine noise. I got lucky and do not have the engine noise. In my Wife's 4runner I placed the amp in the wall but toward the bottom. If the amp was any bigger I would have to have done some trimming. However I am not very happy with her setup. It was harder to align the amp so it's at a little angle.
Advice... hmmm. Well take your time, always double and triple check your measurements. My installation took me a day from 9AM to 8pm. Most of the time was spent trying to firgure out to secure everything and measuring. Also be prepaired to nick you hand a few times.:bash:
My seat install is not the best. That's why I have not taken any pics yet. :p Right now it is held on by very strong zip ties that I have attached to wired frame of the seat. This amp is running my Mids and Highs so it is not running very hot. Hope this helps.

Thanks! Any idea how long your power and interconnects are?

My power is 17', RCAs are 13'. I've fitted them, seems a bit close. I may pick up 20' before I start, just in case.
 
Your power cable sounds about right. But your RCA does sound snug. My RCA is 20' and still have lag. Good Luck and happy installation.
 
i have the jbl 10 (had)... so its not as pretty

i put a computer in mine :)

tons of room

i hope making it look pretty will be easy...

if u have the sub in there, the door thing is actually melted on in a few points, so i have to cut it and get it off, hopefully it will go back in nice and good
