want to run a little larger tire and put on a small lift but still keep ride quality

You can run a 265/75-16, ~32", without any lift.
Personally my lifted ride is better than stock. My coils were shot, especilly the rears. They (rears) were ~1/4" off the jounce bumpers (the rubber cones inside the rear coils). They would bottom out on small bumps.
You could go with a new set of tall 99 coils. Eventually they will sag, that is why you want new coils.
Old Man Emu (OME) 881 in front and 906 in back is another option.
Shocks are THE key to ride quality! I have Bilsteins and I love the ride. They are pricey but you get what you pay for.
