wanting to get an ome lift kit, does it come with everyhing that is needed?

I'm trying to figure up the price of everything before i spend anything. I have a 97 sr5 4x4.

I dnt know what you are looking at because your link just sends us to TOYTEC homepage but if your trying to do just OME lift then you can do the front and rear coils with a front diff drop depending if you go 3 in. and its not recommended but im getting a panhard bracket as well and you will need new shocks. im getting mine from auto zone just b/c I get a military discount and I will still come out cheaper. oh well my bad..i thought it was the lift kit, I'm just trying to get my 4runner lifted and i have read a lot of people saying they like these and they look good to but i'm just trying not to spend a **** ton. I was thinking about maybe going with the 99 springs and then get shocks and struts but it would come out about the same as the lift...i just dont know a lot about lifts except that i would like one for mine and they look great.

How high do you want to lift? I have the Ultimate Lift and I have the OME 890 coils in the rear (3'') and I have the fronts set around 2.5''. I have no diff drop and no panhard bar drop and everything seems fine.

I believe that it was around $1200, but shipping to Hawaii is very expensive. No, I didn't install it myself, as I did not feel comfortable doing it myself. (Most difficult thing I ever did on the truck was changing the oil...so far)

Yup, the kit came with everything I needed. My uncle offered to do it for me for free, which helped out a lot. He is a mechanic for 30+ years so the install went smoothly. What's great about the Ultimate Kit is that there is no need to mess with spring compressors for the front and everything is bolt-on.

I got that kit for mine last summer. it came with everything. Also call the guys if you have questions, they are cool and will help you out. also I skipped the diff. drop and have been fine. It took about 3 hours total for me and a buddy to do it. I would say do it yourself. A few jacks and some basic tools and you are good to go. Pay the extra $100 for them to put together the struts, worth every cent. Just watch your rear shock bolts, the tops can be a pain to get to and the bottom ones if you tighten to much will shear... extra 30m in getting a broken bolt out was no fun. let em knwo if you have any questions.

Well you dont neccessarily need the diff. drop or the pnahard but me being super cautious on my 4runner I dnt want to risk the cv boots messing up or to having my axle shift with the pan hard bracket ( dnt bash just reading from the lift sticky ) but yea the ultimate lift is def a nice thing to have but im just gonna stick with the OME coils and shocks. Let us know what you get and post pics when you do

Just remember that you're going to need to get an alignment afterwards, and those range from around $50 (if you're lucky) upwards of $100. Just FYI.

Ok cool, that might be the way i go or might go a little cheaper and do the OME suspension kit. Thanks for all the help....once i figure out the plan i will post and then after that will be pictures, which hopefully will be soon, i'm dying to get it the way i want it. Thanks again.

I just got the ome lift kit with 883's up front and 891's in the rear with comfort shocks. I love it. I also got a front diff drop to reduce the angles on the cv axles.

Parts of a 3" lift kit. (3" lift is a good safe height lift) Taller lifts will require all this and more.

*Front coils (needed)

*Front shocks (highly recommended)(Coils need to be assembled onto the shocks)

*Front Diff Drop (cheap, reduces CV angles to prolong boots)

*Rear coils (needed)

*Rear shocks (recommended, longer coils should have longer shocks)

*Pan Hard Bar Drop (recommended, keeps the PHB working closer to stock vertical arc, reduces the rear end wag feeling, without the axle will move on a diagonal arc)(needs to be welded on)

*Parking brake mount extension (recommended, it mounts on the rear axle and reduces tension in the cable when axle is drooped)

*Longer rear swaybar end links (recommended, the stock ones can limit droop)

*Extended rear brake line (usually not needed, sometimes the mount may need to be bent to allow enough slack when axle is at full droop)

***With the age of our vehicles the flexible rubber brake lines, F&R, may need replacement from age anyway. I found a quality set of 3 stainless steel lines***
