watches...

For active folks and Android users, here is a very good watch (but somewhat expensive at $400): SMART | Nixon Watches and Premium Accessories

Positive: rugged, waterproof to 100m, GPS, no flat tire, touchscreen works with gloves.
Negative: expensive, no sapphire, HUGE, no speaker.

(Casio offers similar watch withOUT GPS and less waterproofing for $500...so, relatively, Nixon is not too bad.)

Look up Greg Spitz on Watchuseek. Hand made leather straps of amazing quality. Fantastic custom work. It's a hobby of his......believe he is a doctor.

Most of the time I saw Tan Sieko 5 with brown leather that cost more than the watch (on EDCF). This band is a bit darker than I had in mind. $12, I can replace it soon.

I just can't get into smart watches.

Im very partial to Omega. I have an older speedmaster, x-33, seamaster, and a speedmaster grey side. I'm thinking of getting a rolex Milgauss for my next watch though. I love the green glass on the blue dial model. I have a g-shock and fenix 3 for when I'm doing something abusive like hiking, mtb, etc...

Would you trade this Bremont for this Breitling??......

Im not familiar with the value of either piece, but I do prefer the styling of the Breitling. If they are of similar value then I'd say go with whichever you like the look of. High end watches all have good movements nowadays, even if it is what they consider "low end." If one is worth more then take it, sell it, get what you want and pocket the change lol. Ultimately it's all about pleasing yourself, even if it's considered a downgrade value wise. I love my 90s speedmaster just as much as mu grey side. However, I've learned after years of trading guns and watches that I always miss what I traded... and usually buy a new one.

Apple Watch sales are down 55% - Jul. 22, 2016

Look at and understand the data. IDC is no longer an accurate measurement for Apple Watch sales because most (if not all) are bought in stores (Apple Store, Best Buy, etc.). IDC shows the drop because no one orders it online unless you live in area not closed to the stores. IDC was accurate when Apple Watch was first introduced because everyone bought online.

In contrast, you have this: Apple Watch Sales Remain Steady After 15 Months Despite Lack of Next-Generation Model - Mac Rumors

And then you have Swiss total downfall: The Swiss Watch Industry's Perfect Storm - Bloomberg View

My next watch will probably be a Swiss Army. Great quality at a fair price. And I wear my watches for work/hunting/fishing. So I can't be afraid to scratch it up. Hell I still wear a 20 + closer to 30 probably year old timex ironman.

I'm not interpreting. Just presenting.

One day I need to own a Victorinox Airboss Mach 4. Great mechanical movement and all around interesting watch. I also owned a Maverick blue but sold it because it was Quartz. Now they make it as an automatic so may need to look at one of those again. The Dive Master 500's are classics.
