Wats a good rim and tire set up for my 2014 4runner

Hey guys just got me a new 2014 4runner sr5 4x4 and would like your opinion in rims and tires , also Leveling kit/suspension im not made of money so something affordable. Your help will be greatly appreciated

Your best bet is to just use the "Search" box at the top of this page. Look through all of the threads relating to builds, suspension and wheels. There's a lot on here to get an idea of what you'd like to do to yours.

On a budget, I'd go with Bilstein 5100s all around set to what ever height you want. Keep the stock wheels, unless you absolutely hate them, and add the tires you want. I've had good luck with Hankook ATs that are on my 4th gen and they were pretty cheap when I purchased them in 2010.

Thx guys i went with 3" lift w/bilstien from toyteclifts.com. I waiting on a deal to go down then I'll be buying some rims and tires to go with the lift. Any brands in rims you suggest?

Stealth custom series. I have the SR8s and the stealth 6s look awesome too. They're hub centric to Toyota so the fit is really really nice and the offset and wider wheel give it a great stance. I run cooper ST Maxx and Toytec boss love the set up. If you have a bit more cash you can get Koenigs from FNWheels. They're also pretty sweet.

I am pretty happy with the Method Standards I put on the wife's 4Runner.

You're probably going to end up with a lot of opinions on wheels from a looks perspective. Just take these specs to heart and you won't run into any issues and then find something you like.

No smaller than 17" wheels (contacts the brake calipers)
Minimum 4.5" backspacing is what you need to not need spacers. 5+" is too much.
And generally a -12 offset for a 17x9 or -10 for 17x8.5.

Predominant choice of tires on here are :
Duratracs
Cooper ST Maxx
Cooper AT3/ATP
Michelin MS2 and AT2
BFG KO
And Toyo Open Country AT2

That's not all encompassing but it makes up about 75-80% of people on here. Choose a tire that fits what you plan to do with it.

Thanks guys all the info is very helpful this is my first 4wd car ever, made the mistake of buying a 2wd tacoma 3 years ago. My dumb ass got it stuck in the sand within 2 weeks of owning it ��. As far as rims i cant have no Chrome here is hawaii corrosion takes place fast so i need something that last in saltwater as i will be launching my boat in it.. I keep searching through this site for more info, and finding a lot of great stuff. So thanks to you all Alex

I'm going with the Toytec BOSS suspension (3" lift) kit with 17x8 wheels so I can fit 33" (285/70/17) tires with no issues.
