I was quoted around the same amount of time, ended up picking it up about a couple weeks ago. I did tell them I needed it by a certain date to coincide with a trip- hopefully they don't take too much longer on yours.

I'm between a Superwinch TS Synthetic and an M8000S. There's quite a price difference between the two, just don't know if I'll actually need it yet. I've got some other stuff I need to do before the winch purchase, so it'll probably be a few months out.

I really want to go with a Warn. My only concern is the M8000 is just under the 1.5X total loaded weight per my rough estimate. If really loaded down a 9000 would be more ideal, but the price jump to the 9000 in the Warn is significantly higher without synthetic.

you should consider the Comeup Seal Gen2 9.5rsi which is what i went with.
Things i like about it:
Ø3/8" x 100' synthetic rope
2 remotes: both wired & wireless (i did not run wires & switches to the dash)
can be had for $1100

Been slacking a bit on updating this with some recent adventures.


I made the trek down to Demello to get my bumper installed since I had some errands to run in the area anyways. Unfortunately they were all out of town for the Toyota Jamboree, but [MENTION=59079]jdemello[/MENTION] managed to squeeze in my install anyways. Huge thanks for coming in on your day off guys :cheers:

For Memorial Day weekend, a few friends and I tried to hit up Pismo but all of the camp spots were at full capacity. We ended up heading back up to Prewitt Ridge where we camped earlier this month. Ran into @LB_T4R and [MENTION=123578]carlomagne[/MENTION] on the way up the ridge (next time we need to take a photo guys!!).

I literally washed the truck a few days ago thinking I wasn't going on any trips for a few months.

OEM Blind Spot Mirror Retrofit

I noticed that quite a few Toyota models currently share the same side mirrors. I debated whether or not I wanted to retrofit the blind spot monitoring system onto the 4Runner, but decided against it because I will probably not get much use out of it.

Instead, I retrofitted a side view mirror from a 2016+ RAV4 with the integrated blind spot mirror. These look way better than the stick-on convex mirrors I had before.

Literally all you need is the actual mirror element from the RAV4. You will retain the factory heating, etc. and it all bolts up.

Here's the part numbers:

Gently pry off the original mirror, remove the OEM heater connector and you'll end up with this

Put the new mirror in

All done. This mod took me about 5 minutes to complete :banana:

Sorry, must've missed this. No I haven't- been thinking of where I want to relocate it to since I have the ARB going by the passenger firewall. I figure with the ~$300 for the SW relocation kit I'll wait until the thing breaks and replace it afterwards.
