Westin Bar and Hella 4000

Ive searched around but havent found any answers. I have a Westin Safari Bar on my '05 and want to put on the Hella 4000 compacts. I measured and think the dimensions will work out, but I'm nervous to put over $250 into lights that won't fit. Has anyone tried this combo??

Ive seen the posts for black magic lights and some other combinations, but none for the 4000.

Well, since no one bothered to reply, I thought Id try it anyways. I looked at the dimensions again and looked at my bar and realized it would only take a little modification of the brackets on the light bar to fit the lights. I went ahead and bought them (they are really sweet by the way) and held them on the bar and I was right, it should only take a little work. I will work on them over the weekend and post some pictures as soon as they are on there.

Got the lights on and I like them. It only took a little filing of the light brackets on the bar. I just got a round file and extended the hole toward the tip of the bracket about a half inch or so until the back of the light cleared the bumper. Next, I primed the bracket and then painted it black to match the bar. I wasn't too concerned about the detail of this since there is now a light covering it anyways.

I really like the lights and would suggest them to anyone who is looking for something different than piaa's. Very high quality light that you can tell is built to last.

Looks good. Very low mount. Do you have any sort of protective cover for them?

Where I drive, there is a lot of loose rocks on the road as well as big bugs (grasshoppers and such) that can do serious damage to the radiators. I installed the black mesh grill inserts from Cloud Rider about a month after I got the T4R and have had to touch up the black to cover rock dings.

The lights did come with some white plastic covers with Hella printed on them. I'll be needing them soon since I seem to have tons of dead bugs all over the front of my car.

Ive been thinking about some kind of low profile mesh inserts, I may look into those, thanks.

That looks really sharp man . Was wondering where you bought your Westin bar from ? Is that a straight bolt on or did you need a kit ? Looking around online for a decent deal on one for my 98 Ltd. I am assuming you put the covers on the new lights when not in use ? They look like an easy target for rocks and road debris

Actually it was a birthday present. My dad had an offer for 20% off one item on performanceproducts, but went into 4wheel parts here in Atlanta and they matched the price. Not sure how much it was, but I think it was less than 160

Those look great. How's the beam pattern on the new lights? Got any night pics of just the Hellas?

They aren't as bright as the KC's I had on my old 4runner, but thats expected since those things were rediculous. The beam pattern is pretty nice, not as wide as the toyota headlights, but put out about as much light. I'll take some pics tonight and post them for you.
