Some small updates: After receiving the T4R, I removed the hydrocarbon air filter, acquired and paired a newer flip key, and replaced the tires that were on the car. The truck now has GY Duratrac in OE size. Just in time for winter.

What was the process to program the key to the vehicle?

Do you have a clunk noise when driving over bumps? I did on my 04 and replacing the sway bar bushings fixed the clunk and greatly improved handling. Honestly wish I did it years ago.
Um, no I do not however I do plan to replace the bushings.
While driving to the mechanic today to get a leak in the transmission pan fixed, this milestone happened:
Next project is replacing the rear brakes. Need to order parts as I don't feel like spending $500 to have the shop do this. I'll let the shop handle the leak because it's a messy job.

This weekend I replaced the rear pads and rotors. It was a bit of a learning curve considering the design is different from my 3series, however I think it is complete.
One thing I noticed was the wear clip was interfering with the pad movement. For now I'm going to leave it off. I also need to get new caliper bracket bolts as the existing ones are really rusted.

In the past two weeks, I had my first oil change. Decided to use a Wix filter and M1 oil rather than go OEM. The tech at the dealer in Green Bay where my dad had the truck last serviced had both the oil pan bolt and the filter screwed on really tight. It took a torque wrench to get the oil pan bolt off and a filter cap with a socket input to pull the filter off.
Truck now has 124,000mi and I still love driving it! I still need to get the rear wiper arm off as it is stuck at the moment and put the new one on.

This week I picked up a Gentex 453 auto-dimming mirror with compass off of eBay for $55 bucks. The wife and I will be moving to a new house and the house only has one garage door opener. Thought it was a good time to upgrade.
Hopefully it is easy as my BMW does to wire a similar mirror.

Not a lot of updates as of late. Most of the time and money has been spent buying a new house. That said, my dad was in state this week for a fly fishing trip. Decided to take the T4R out on a long drive to meet an old friend!
While out in the wilderness, I got to drive through a new part of CO I have not seen before. I decided to stop and take a quick picture.

It's Hwy 67 going through Deckers & Pine.
It is a beautiful, scenic drive with a lot of twisty curves and fun downhill runs. Made me wish I had my car instead of the T4R. That said, while beautiful it was very sad and depressing to see all of the dead trees there. Apparently there was a forest fire in this area 10-15 years ago.

Finally got around to installing the homelink mirror. Thanks to [MENTION=67197]4RunnERD[/MENTION]'s install thread!
Also was in minor accident recently with the truck. Received the estimate and it looks like I'm getting a new trailer hitch. I guess we'll need if there is any other damage when it goes into the shop.

Today's the day! Picked up the truck and drove it all the day today to my halfway point (Omaha). So far no major issues though it looks like I need to replace the rims and the tires. All four rims are leaking a bit as I had to pump up all of the tires. Some were down as much as 20lbs. :wow:
I am thinking I might grab a local set of 5th gens when I get back to save on cost. Here's the rims (Photo Credit: E1mo1ovesyou)
I have the 5th gen wheels on mine and I think they really stand out! Plus they were $150 for all 4 on Craigslist. I had the same issue with my original wheels; they were rusting out and corroding.
I also have that Steelcraft bull bar if you are interested in pics for your build
Thanks SC! I'm holding off on getting new rims. It looks likes the tires, not the rims were leaking. I've also thought about finding limited rims however do not have the budget yet nor have I found a set.
As your second comment, are you looking to sell the bullbar? Or are you wanting to show what it looks like? I've seen a few pictures already however I have not seen any with my exact color configuration.

Not a problem, I’ll be more than half to send pics of the wheel setup. As far as the bull bar, I’m not selling it. But I’ll also take pics of it if that’ll help.
I got mine from realtruck.com. Black Steelcraft. Sadly it only has 2 mounting bolts not 4
