What a way to start a first post RIP VZN180, Welcome GRN285

Hello all, this is not the way I wanted to start my first post. Among other things, I own a 1997 Toyota 4Runner SR5. Here is a pic of her.

Here are some of the mods done to her. I owned her since new in 1997. Many of these mods were done so long ago I don't remember the brand names.
Exterior Mods:
Bushwacker Limited fender flares and side cladding. Smittybilt chromed front brush guard. Rear tail light guard. Rain Gaurds, Rear Deflector, Bug Deflector, Stock Sunroof Visor, Hidden Hitch, Rear Deflector.
Interior Mods:
Wet Okele seat covers. TRD Boost Gauge. Silver Gauge Face. Stereo Upgrades (Sony Double Din, 2 x amps, 2 x 14" subs)
Suspension:
Bilsteins shocks, with Performance Products (H&R) stiffened rear springs.
Motor and drive train:
TRD Supercharger with URD Supercharger upgraded injectors, piggy back ECU, Walbro fuel pump, Injen intake, TRD exhaust.

The truck was quick. Pulled many Supras with her (Yes, I'm a Supra guy addicted to boost). I would have continued to do so if I did not keep blowing axle seals.

Anyway, it seems like I did something that some 4Runner owners have experienced. Did a complete 360 roll ending with the passenger side down.

Sad that she is totaled, but glad to be able to walk away from it with just a few scraps from the glass. Was very lucky NOT to break any bones or hurt anything. Seat belt and a well built car saved my life. I will miss her dearly.

A few days after the accident, I bought this to replace my beloved 4Runner. With a 2010 one. SR5 4x4 in Magnetic Grey Metallic. Side curtain airbags would be nice if I should ever go shiney side down again.

So I go from being a 3rd gen 4Runner owner to a 5th Gen one.

Anyway, there will be a part out soon. I hope there are some 3rd gen 4Runner owners from Southern California, so I don't have to ship anything large!

Sorry to hear about the 4Runner man... Looks like alot of time and effort went in to building it, and it was a nice one too. Seems like we've been seeing alot of rolled 'Runners lately, what's up with that?

I'll always be a sucker for the 3rd gen's but I'm sure that 5th will treat you well too. Have fun with it, and don't ROLL IT!

P.S. Since you got the vultures circling, I may as well ask now... If no one's asked yet, can I get first crack at the seat covers and the intake??? :biggrin2:

Where are you located in Orange County? We must live pretty close since I'm 5 minutes from Power Toyota Irvine.

I mainly am thinking about motor/supercharger and trans, all of the drivetrain, maybe even the whole truck. I'll even be more considerate if it's a 4x4.
