What are these plugs for?

Can someone please tell me what these (3) extra plugs are for that reside underneath the center strip console area, i.e. where the DAC switch lives, etc?

I have a 2008 SR5 and only have the DAC switch and nothing else.

I wonder...if one of them IS for the extra 12VDC, is there 12V on the connector?, If so maybe it could be tapped for an additional 12V outlet under the console?

Pretty sure yours has the air ride, or XREAS suspension. My limited came with it.

Pretty sure yours has the air ride, or XREAS suspension. My limited came with it.

Mine did come with XREAS, but didn't come with the air ride. I think it was part of a package option.

I might be wrong, but I am pretty sure XREAS is air ride, thats how the system works.

Maybe, I was guessing.

I do know that the smokers kit will give you an ashtray insert and a true cigarette lighter in the same compartment as your current 12v outlet. Someone here posted pics and you basically have two 12v outlets right next to each other. The added one is heat rated for a genuine lighter. I don't think I'd stick a lighter into my existing outlet for fear of melting something.

Maybe... VW, Isuzu and I believe Honda have offered seat heaters with cloth seats.

More than fire I wonder about spilling a beverage and adding some tingle to the warm feeling:lmao:

Yup, you're wrong. X-REAS is a completely mechanical system and simply links the shocks in a cross fashion. It's simple and works well but doesn't need any buttons to operate and is not related to the rear air lift suspension.

Mercedes and Subaru have heater elements in cloth seats. It's perfectly fine. If your seat burns up, then there is something seriously wrong then with your elements. Besides, the leather covers will burn just the same.

Chris, didn't know the Cig Kit added an additional 12V socket. I just assumed it was just an extra assy. that had a removable ashtray and cig lighter.

I know you don't have those options but the complexity of producing multiple wiring harnesses more than offsets the savings that would be afforded by leaving out a few feet of wire. So... In the name of mass production I suspect they opt to use one harness for all T4R's and if they have the options then the wires are used, if not they just dangle and become fodder for message boards

A guy I know used to work for a Toyota VPC and said that the trucks pretty much come bare from Japan. They pretty much had to install everything here (even that spoiler that most of us have). So it was easier for Toyota to just have one harness and have the VPC install everything according to what the dealers wanted once they got here.
