What color do you have?

I'm new here. I just bought a 2011 Silver SR5. I found this place and its great. I wanted a salsa red one but the dealer gave me a price I couldn't resist for this silver one. I'm just a little curious what color 5th gen you have. Am I missing a color? I think that's it.

The most difficult decision to make when purchasing my 4Runner was choosing which color to go with. This truck looks great in every color!

So far, the popular colors in my neck of the woods seem to be Magnetic Gray and Salsa Red. At least those are the colors I see most often. I kind of stand out in my black. Saw a lady driving a Salsa Red SR5 yesterday checking me out while I was waiting at a light. :wow:

I guess I should clarify that she was likely checking out my black SR5. :moping:

Does Toyota seem to make more of certain colors than another color, specifically 4Runners?

I'm sure they do make more of certain colors based on market appeal. However, selection may vary widely between different parts of the country and/or dealers. Maybe its just perception, but my local dealer seems to have a lot of Mag grays, Salsa reds, and Blizzard Pearls. The dealer an hour up the road in Colorado Springs seems to have a lot of black T4Rs when I stop by there.

When we went to get our TE, I put my foot down and insisted to my wife that we get silver, so we picked up a Salsa Red.

Silver is the way to go! Easy to maintain! When I was single, all I bought was silver vehicles. When I got married, I suggested a silver vehicle for my wife, and when we got home with the blue vehicle, everyone came over and said "gee....nice to see that you bought something other than silver...".

Me too. I had a white Xterra Off Road and the white with black trim got almost as many complements as my TE. Looked like a rolling Stormtrooper (the Star Wars kind, not the Nazi kind). A TE would look even better.

I wish I could have gotten a Shoreline Blue Trail but there were none to be had and I didnt care to wait to order in a 2013.

I'm quite happy with my Silver but I do feel it needs something to complement the color, I am not sure yet but perhaps some sort of graphic.

You could get a Fire-chicken graphic off an old Trans Am on EBay.

You'd be rockin' the off road in mulletudinous glory; add some parachute pants and a glove box full of candy and vodka and you'd be a legend.
