What did everyone pay for their 4th gen?

'06 SR5 - brand new with 6 miles on the clock

MSRP = $29,166.00

Invoice = about $26,000 - $1000 incentive = $25,000

Paid = $23,500.00

This was back in January. So, you don't always have wait until clearance to get good deals.

I was just quoted for a sr5 v6 2wd at $24,895 (with the included $1,000 rebate and ALL fees included) before tax, title, license. Also not included was an additional fee that I need clarification with: $8.75 Cali tire tax?

Basically, I've decided to not opt for any options, so basically it will come with the standard equipment or what have you.

Edmund's tmv invoice with no options and the 1k rebate is $24825. so about $70 over invoice? is this a good deal or am I missing something? Thanks in advance.
It's very difficult to find a Toyota product with no options. They're dealing right around invoice right now (see other posts), so you might be close to finding one with hardly anything on it. Ask the dealer what MSRP is on the one he's talking about, and then you can look at Edmunds to build one with that same price.

Top dollar for my trade, 2.9% APR for 60 months, 7yr/75,000mile bumper-to-bumper wear-and-tear warranty, 3yr paint protection, Gap Insurance, Anti-Theft Package, Nicely loaded for $36,800 (sticker was $35,720). I had a nice connection... friend of a friend. :bowdown:

$29,400(+TTL) for 2005 SE V8 4X4.
I got so much more truck than I originally set out to buy for pretty much the same projected price by lurking around here and soaking up the experience and wisdom of other members. Thanks again for all the help!

Definitely you should have no problem getting one at invoice.

All the domestic brands are almost giving their SUVs away and the price of gas doesn't help either.

Ironically, my convertible is more expensive to operate than my 4Runner (Premium gas @ ~23mpg vs. Regular gas @ ~22mpg). To be fair, I do push my convertible much harder.

Bought 2004 sr5 4x4 a year and half ago used for $23,000 with 23,000 miles on it.

purchased 1990 sr5 4x4 for $7,000 several years ago. Drove it for almost 5 years and sold it for $5,000.

Prices ?

Anyone know if '06 4Rs are going at invoice or below and if this is with the rebate or not?

thanks

the price is around invoice(edmunds) before rebate.

Just get a SR5 06 4WD for $25850 after rebates, before tax,reg,title fees.

I'm not sure if it is good deal or not.

Just bought a 2003 Sport 4x4 V8 for $21,000 w/49,000 miles. KBB was about $22,300 and Edmunds was about $21,500 so I think I did pretty well.

I just bought one a few days ago.

2006 SR5 V8 4x2

- sunroof
- preferred package
- tow hitch

$23,250 +TTL

25.5k OTD

2005 SR5 V-6 4x4

2005 SR5 V-6 4x4: Bought it in Sept. 2006. Paid $22,000. had 24,000 miles, 3rd row seat.
Tax was $1800.

If I might be scrooge for a minute...

There are a lot of prices being posted without an iota of evidence of what was actually purchased. Half of the people that appear to be bragging about their price make no idication if it's a 2x4 or 4x4, whether it's a V6 or V8 and what options it comes with. V8 adds $, 4x4 adds $, a six disc in dash adds $700 something as simple as side airbag package adds nearly, what, 2k?

Not only that, out the door means nothing, taxes vary so widely from state to state that out the door can vary 3K just because it's a different state.

This is a very apples to oranges discussion up to this point. Then we have the guy that comes in and talks about purchasing 10 year old cars for 10k. Which I might add, don't fit the discussion of 4th Gen pricing.

If you want a good thread everyone should post year, price before TTL or price above invoice. Whether it's 4x2 or 4x4, what engine, and what options are included.

I purchased an '06 4runner the day after christmas in '05. It's an SE 4x4, V8, Shadow Mica. It includes side airbags, DBL Decker Cargo, cargo net, 6 disc in dash changer, JBL Synthesis 10 speaker, carpeted floor mats, moonroof, roof rack, security system (keyless entry/immobilizer) although no glass break sensor, and all the SE options (XREAS, trailer hitch, etc.). And it had 8 miles and the shipping plastic still on it (I was the first customer to drive it).

I paid invoice (Costco program, year end special, and they made a mistake so I got it at invoice), then minus a $1000 incentive, and minus a $600 incentive (which he didn't have to tell me about because it was a confidential dealer incentive, but because of Costco they disclose everything). I believe that invoice was right around 32k (sticker was 37.5k), take out the incentives and toss in our states 7.7% sales tax, $300 license and title and and a 10.5k trade in and I paid 22.6k out the door.

Now if I just told you the out the door it would have been meaningless, even if I listed the trade in. Other people listing what they paid aren't saying what the invoice was. Paying 28k out the door when the invoice is 26k and your state doesn't have sales tax is the apple to the orange of the guy that paid 37k for the 06 limited with everything including Nav and a state tax of 10% with a $500 license fee when the invoice was 37k. Who got the better deal? Afterall, that's what the primary purpose of this thread is anyway, who got the better deal and how I did in comparison to everyone else. I cheer those guys that got the advertising special at dealer cost (3k or so below invoice), but I know they got a stripped SR5 with almost no options.

Anyway, carry on with your comparison of various incarnations of toyota with no reference to how good of a deal it was! ;)

My 4runner is SR5 V6 4x2, single cd jbl with mp3 and wma. tinted window, 17 inch upgrade tires, roof rack, toyota 4runner mats, cargo net. it only had 3 miles when i drove it off the dealer lot. Dealer fees of 950, plus 6.5% sales tax, 300 tag fees, 1650 in toyo gard (completley bougs charges). out the door price including evey thing listed above $26,030. To me its a very good deal. where the sticker price was over 31k.

In So Cal I paid

$30,710 out the door. V8 SR5 with just the standard options. Dealer Installed Option was the Alarm for $600. I forgot, but I also got a "gold" extended warranty to 100,000 miles. I just looked at all my paper work and found I purchased the extended warranty for $900 which looks like now I got ripped a little but I am real happy with my 4 Runner

Here in Austin, Maund Yota 06 SR5 2wd V8 out the door for $27,159. Leather, keyless alarm, sunroof, double cargo, spoiler, 17" rims with Mich cross terrains. Stickered for $32 and change + the 2K rebate that month.

:iagree: with every word you said.

At the very least, people should list their MSRP and their price before TTL either with or without rebates, so there's a better understanding of what was discounted from MSRP and a ball part figure above invoice as some dealer's will only reference dealer invoice vs. true invoice. Floor mats, $186 MSRP isn't listed at all on Edmund's or MSN CarPoint, so my invoice price is off.
